1.09AV What Color is Your Parachute

SCENARIO:

WBL Coordinators should keep up with the latest career and employment knowledge and skills.

SOLUTIONS:

1. Keep active in reading the latest career books and materials

2. Attend professional development, webinars and conferences.

If you have taken any of my courses, you know I like to share with you career intelligence that you could share with your fellow faculty members.

What Color is Your Parachute, 2015, is a great book with lots of good advice to share. You do not need to purchase the book, but I highly recommend you add this book to your Kindle or IPad ($10.) as it is a really good reference book on the rules of today's job market.

What Color is Your Parachute, by Robert Bolles, has been updated and issued every single year since the 1990s. It is the "bible" to job hunting. There is a Parachute book for Teens and a special workbook available. Robert Bolles uses the Dr. John Holland Interest assessments as all of us do in NYS CareerZone and XI
