#2 Quick Start "That Used to Be Us."

We will read and apply the concepts of, That Used to Be Us, by Thomas Friedman, throughout the entire course. We will focus on parts I and II which includes chapters 1 - 7. This book can be obtained online for your Kindle, iPad or PC. You will also find it in the library or in a bookstore for about $10.

SCENARIO: You are on lunch break in the faculty room and the table discussion is focusing on the negative aspects of the students' interests in academic achievement along with setting career goals. Someone mentions that at the next Superintendent's Conference Day, there should be workshops devoted to preparing students for college and career readiness.

CHALLENGE: How do you change the climate of your school? We must work with both the faculty and students in this challenge.

SOLUTIONS:
