Through The Bridge Health Center you also have access to Premise Health 24/7 Virtual Primary Care, giving you access to healthcare 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, through secure video or phone from home, office or the road.
Consults with board-certified virtual Premise Health physicians through secure video or phone available 24/7/365
Prescriptions can be sent to your nearest pharmacy, if medically necessary
Continuity of care with your existing clinical team at The Bridge Health Center
Who is eligible and what does it cost?
Eligibility: Premise Health 24/7 Virtual Primary Care is available to those who are to eligible for the The Bridge Health Center: those enrolled in a District medical insurance plan, including employees, pre-Medicare retirees, spouses and dependents over the age of two.
Cost: Premise Health 24/7 Virtual Primary Care is no cost for those on the Base or Premium Plans, and only $35 per visit for those on the HSA plan, due to IRS regulations.

When are these services available? Premise Health 24/7 Virtual Primary Care is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year (including holidays) for any primary care need. Every provider’s schedule is specific and can be seen as you schedule.
What type of providers will I see? Premise Health 24/7 Virtual Primary Care is staffed with Premise Health board-certified physicians who specialize in primary care. Click here for a list of available providers and bios.
Why might I decide to use Premise Health 24/7 Virtual Primary Care? Examples include, but are not limited to:
As an alternative to The Bridge Health Center services for acute needs: You may elect to use Premise Health 24/7 Virtual Primary Care as an alternative when you have a non-emergency medical issue (such as cold, allergies, rashes, or sinus infections) and are unable to obtain an appointment at The Bridge Health Center because it is closed, you cannot leave home or work, or you are out of town.
As a primary care provider: You may elect to use Premise Health 24/7 Virtual Primary Care for your primary care needs. When an in person appointment is required based on the clinical need, your virtual primary care provider will assist you in making that appointment either at The Bridge Health Center or with an outside provider.
Or both!
Note: Based on your symptoms or needs, your virtual provider may request an appointment occur in person or may recommend labs or other testing, which can be done at The Bridge Health Center or an outside provider.
Will I see the same provider in future visits? You have the ability to designate a Premise Health 24/7 Virtual Primary Care provider as your primary care physician (PCP) so that you can build a relationship with the same trusted provider every time you need care. How do I establish care with a VPC provider? Members can schedule an establish care visit with the VPC provider of their choice to discuss attribution that provider. The provider will determine if the member is a good candidate for a virtual PCP relationship.
What if I need to be seen in person or have labs drawn?
Based on your symptoms or needs, your provider may request an appointment occur in person or may recommend labs or other testing, which can be done at The Bridge Health Center or an outside provider.
The Bridge Health Center is available for any in person needs, including lab draws. Or, if you prefer or need to be seen elsewhere, your provider will assist you in finding a community provider that can meet your needs. Because both The Bridge Health Center and Virtual Primary Care utilize the same electronic health record, all of your information will be available to ensure the highest level of continuity of care.
Can Premise Health 24/7 Virtual Primary Care providers prescribe to the home delivery pharmacy? This is currently not available.
How is this different from virtual visits with The Bridge Health Center provider(s)?
Virtual Visits: These visits can occur by phone or video during The Bridge Health Center operating hours, with the care team that is onsite.
Premise Health 24/7 Virtual Primary Care: These visits can occur by phone or video 24/7/365 with Premise Health board-certified physicians.
