Documenting the many times Craig has openly discussed fan "participation" and/or his blocking policy, in case anyone is new and isn't aware, or is somehow surprised when they send him something negative, whiny, or spammy, or are otherwise annoying, and find themselves on the ass-end of a Craigy ka-block.
Here's a PLAYLIST of the StickyProject videos listed below. Which can probably best be summed up using Wheaton's Law: Don't be a dick.

March 7, 2008 - Craig interviews Shanna Moakley
Long before there was Twitter, there was MySpace. Craig discusses his extremely short-lived MySpace experiment with Shanna Moakley:
"I had a MySpace page for four days. I did. Four days. What I realized was that the computer world/the internet had become so super-efficient that I could piss off more women in four days using computers than I could with two marriages! They got so mad... SO mad. And you know what they were angry at? They were just angry because I didn't get back [to them]."
February 22, 2010 - Craig does not want to be Robot Skeleton Married
Not a mention of blocking in particular, but a REMINDER to his followers that he does not need us to tell him what to do.
October 20, 2010 - Craig stops by The Danny Bonaduce Show:

Audio clip:

"I will warn you, any negative comments, in any way, shape, or form get you blocked. I just block everybody. You know how people say "Oh, I never block anyone on twitter." I block everyone on twitter. The slightest negative comment..."
February 21, 2012 - Craig correctly labels a "fan campaign" what it is: Spam.
Or, if you prefer it in text-y form:
"we want an interview with the Latin singer @DulceMaria"
I have no idea who this woman is but her spamming fans
have made me hate her.

RSA News' coverage of this tweet here.
Edit July 2013: Word of advice...
In July 2013 a group of "Heughligans" were ill-advised by a Facebook group to conduct a "fan campaign" to get their guy a shout-out on TLLS. This campaign horribly backfired. Many of the tweeters were regular Facebook users and were unfamiliar with how Twitter works, or with Twitter etiquette Unaware of the dangers, these Twitter lambs were led to the proverbial slaughter, and many were blocked that day. When warned of the potential for blockage, many of them deleted their spammy tweets, but it was already too late. Damage had been done. It was an unfortunate situation, and a hard lesson to learn. But learn it, they did. Don't make the same mistake.
June 29, 2012 - Craig rants on harsh & stupid tweeters
No mention of blocking, in particular, but an excellent rant about people crabbing about his hair or the lighting, or any of the other random mean comments that people tweet to him:
July 17, 2012 - Craig interviews Cedric the Entertainer:
Craig and Cedric briefly discuss Twitter, mean people, and blocking.
Craig: People can be mean, too. Have you noticed that?
Cedric: Oh yeah, they'll just say anything... I love to delete people - instantly. I'm like, bad, though. I'm like a bad twitter person. Because when you say *anything* negative about me -- totally deleted!
Craig: That's my policy! That's my policy, too!
September 7, 2012 -- Craig opens Pandora's Box
Craig has a momentary lapse in judgment, and invites two colossally boring Twitter spammers onto the show. He then makes it clear that this WILL NOT (necessarily) HAPPEN AGAIN. (Seriously... what the hell were you thinking, Craig??)
October 2012 -- Craig is interviewed by Brian Phillips
During an October 2012 radio interview with Brian Phillips of New Rock 101.9, Brian brought up the subject of Twitter. He asked, "How active are you on Twitter?" Craig's reply:
I used to be on it all the time - I hardly look at it these days. I kinda come and go with it. I'll probably go back to it, at some point. I look at it for a while, then it drives me crazy, and then I... ugh God...I can't listen to any more opinions about what tie I should wear, or my haircut. So I... I don't. And then I go back on it, and I look at only the people I follow for a while, and then I get bored with that.
I don't know if you've noticed, but many of these social network sites seem to allow cowardly people to hide behind anonimity and say really mean things, and that kind of gets old, that.
People mistake, you know, they think it's like "Hey, free speech! I should be able to say what I want!", and you go, "No, dude. That's the Constitution. We're talking about MY twitter account -- you're blocked!"
November 8, 2012 -- Craig interviews LL Cool J
Craig and LL Cool J talk about "Laptop Gangstas" and how much they enjoy blocking people.
Craig: I kind of come and go with twitter. I like it sometimes, and then it makes me really mad when I see people, like, really aggressive, and stuff. So I block them...
LL: Laptop gangstas?
Craig: I like that! Do you ever block 'em?
LL: Oh, that's my favorite thing! Oh, I love it! It's so refreshing to just... You know, they hate on you, and say something terrible, and you just respond with something pithy, and then just BLOCK! It's so relaxing -- it's like getting a massage!
Craig: When I block them, though, I don't even write anything pithy. Sometimes I block people that are nice to me - you know, just to keep it interesting.
November 13, 2012 -- Craig's 2nd Guest Chair Rant
No mention of blocking, in particular, but yet ANOTHER rant related to the ridiculous questions that people tweet him. From the video description: "Sick of constant questions about the second guest chair, Craig launches into a rant, expanding it to include completely unrelated bits of set decoration."
January 18, 2013 -- Craig is sooooooo sorrry!
Craig and Geoff must hurry to read some tweets and emails, or else people will get angry again.
Hypothetical tweeter: "You suck! You suck! You ruined my life! You suck!"
Craig: "Oh, I'm so sorry! *block*"
January 29, 2013 -- Craig interviews Simon Helberg
Craig Ferguson and Simon take a discussion about their children (and having to deal with angry teenage girls) into a chat about the type of tweets they get, a large portion of which seem to be from people who are a little... "mentally set back," as Simon so kindly worded it.
Craig: "I seem to get... I'm going cold on Twitter. I'm getting alittle bit... *exasperated sigh*"
Simon: "It's a little depressing. I get a lot of love, but I get a fair amount of... negativity."
March 15, 2013 -- Craig interviews Megan Mullally
Craig Ferguson and Megan Mullally discuss Twitter, mean people, and internet comments in general.
Craig: You gotta be careful with it. What happens is, the Twitter... you just gotta block people. You know, when they're mean to you. Just block 'em. Or even if they ask a quesiton, or even talk to you at all, just block 'em. I kind of come and go with it. I liked it, and then I'm like, "Mmmmm, I'm not so sure." People can be very mean. But some people are very nice.
Megan: If I see anything mean about myself, anywhere on the internet, I have to be, like, institutionalized. I can't take it.
Craig: I know, I hate it as well. I used to google myself. Don't do that. And never read the comments about anything, even if you're not involved!
June 11, 2013 -- Craig at Banff
Craig is interviewed by Michael Schnider at the Banff World Media Festival in Banff, Alberta, Canada. (Video by Kempton)
Q: What do you make of social media, what do you make of twitter and interacting with fans and sort of how close now you can be with your viewers.
It's... okay... it's okay. I'm cautious about it. I think, for most people, they understand what it is. But for someone who thinks like me -- and I have a stand up comedian's mind -- so if I go and look at a room full of people, what I'm looking for is the person who hates me. And social media is the same. I'm looking for trouble. And... I'm tired. I don't want to hear your fucking opinion. Either like it or don't like it. You watch -- there's so many things you can watch, that I... do we need to have a discussion about that? If you don't like me, don't watch me - I'm cool, you know, it's fine. It doesn't have to get personal. But, see, it isn't, I think, mostly. I think most people understand it. I think most people in this room probably understand social media much better than me. But I don't really understand it, because I'm looking for... I will scroll through my twitter feed -- thousands of people who, "you're great, you rock, you're awesome, I wanna marry you, I love you... and then I find that one "Oh you fucking suck!" and I'm like [angry face]. And then I'm looking them up, I'm googling them, I'm sweating, and I'm thinking about what I'm going to do with this son of a bitch, and... [exhausted face]. I don't want to do that anymore. So whilst I don't think in and of itself it's bad, it's hard for me to use it properly.
June 11, 2013 -- Craig interviews Hugh Dancy
Craig Ferguson and Hugh Dancy discuss rude people who go to the theatre, and then Craig equates that to Twitter "audiences."
Craig: I think I'm about to resign from Tweety. I think I've had enough. I feel I'm getting Tweety versions of this: [grimace-y polite-smile face].
July 23, 2013 -- Craig interviews Sara Bareilles
During Craig and Sara's conversation, Sara mentions a woman who insulted her on Twitter, which leads Craig to talk about how he just blocks everyone, and rarely reads anything but the people he follows.
Sara: Look at the power she has over me, I'm talking about her.
Craig: No, I used to get into all this as well.
Sara: Do you read the comments?
Craig: I used to, now I just block. just block everybody. Just block, block "Craig, what you need to...." block.
Sara: Anybody says anything negative, you just block?
Craig: REMOTELY negative! And I'm talking about "Hmm, I thought your hair was a bit..." BOOM! Block. Not even like a little bit, like re-- IF I read it. But most of the time I don't read it. I just read the people I follow.
[video goes here, at some point]

Craig and Geoff talk about Facebook, and Craig -- once again -- says that he's not on it.
[video goes here, at some point]

Tweets on this subject will be tagged with: #StickyProject
December 6, 2010 -- Craig interviews Katie Couric
Craig and Katie discuss blocking people who send even slightly negative things on Twitter:
"When anybody says anything remotely negative - and I mean REMOTELY negative - block 'em. Block 'em. I mean, just even the tiniest bit 'Craig I didn't like your--' Ugh! I don't even finish the sentence. Gone. Gone! I block 'em all! No, I block 'em - even SLIGHTLY negative - not even nasty! I'm just ruthless -- I'm kind of like Stalin of the tweeter. You don't exist to me! You're gone to me!"
January 19, 2011 -- Craig reads tweetsmail
"I look forward to your tweets telling me what kind of bird it is, and calling me Craigsy at the same time.... and I'll block you for it."
April 13, 2011 -- Craig interviews Ashley Judd
"I like it, and whenever people are in any way negative on twitter, they have this great thing, you can just block 'em. And then they're gone! Yeah, just block 'em! Just block 'em! When they say "Hey, why don't you have--" Block 'em! When they say, "Get this guest on your show." I'm like, "You're blocked." Sometimes I block people who are nice, just to keep everyone on edge."
June 6, 2011 -- Craig interviews Don Cheadle
Craig and Don discuss negative reviews and the negative side of twitter. No specific mention of blocking, but clearly expressing disdain for pestering tweeters.
July 13, 2011 -- Craig interviews Angela Kinsey
"What I like to do is tweet something, and then have everyone give me lots of negative feedback, and then I block them. Ahahahahaha! I showed you! I wiped you out of my life, even although I've never heard of you before or since. It's that fleeting moment of power: I can get rid of you. That's one of the main reasons I'm on it, really..."
September 27, 2011 -- Craig interviews Jackie Collins
"Although, I think sometimes people can be harsh on Twitter. I block them... It's kind of like having control over the internet. I just go on the twitter, and if anyone says anything mean -- BLOCK. If they say it even casually, like *slightly, tiny little bit*... yep, BLOCK. That's the only thing, I don't know [how many I've blocked]. Much more [than hundreds]."
December 2, 2011 -- Craig interviews Ana Gasteyer
Craig and Ana get into a discussion about crazy, and Ana says her "crazy" is she sometimes googles herself too much. Craig says you mustn't do that, because you'll find out that everybody hates you. They continue:
Ana: "They hate you. They're very mean. And I'm on Twitter now... once every seventh day somebody will ping at me something SO mean, that I don't want to play on the internet anymore."
Craig: "You gotta block 'em. That's what Twitter's all about. You gotta learn how to use that block function. Yeah, you just block 'em. It's like, you don't [exist]. And people go 'Hey, you can't block me, this is America!' and I go 'Yeah, but it's my Twitter account, so fuck off!"
Ana and Craig do, however, acknowledge the nicer side of things:
Ana: "98% of the time, it's a lovely thing, and they love the show..."
Craig: "Most people are lovely. A little bit crazy, but lovely. Absolutely."
December 2011 issue of Playboy Magazine
Craig was interviewed for the December 2011 issue and had this to say of Twitter and critics:
PLAYBOY: Do you spend a lot of time on Twitter?
FERGUSON: Not really. I come and go with it. Sometimes I love it and sometimes it makes me angry.
PLAYBOY: How does it make you angry?
FERGUSON: I remember someone on Twitter gave me a hard time for doing an anti-atheist joke in Nashville. Because it’s such a religious town, apparently he thought it was pandering. He wrote something like “What’s next, an anti-Arab joke in Israel and an antiwoman joke is Saudi Arabia?” Hey, atheism is a stance. It’s a position, it’s an opinion. Being a Jew and being a woman are just things you are. But if you have an opinion on something, be prepared to defend it. And by the way, if you’re an atheist and you can’t take a joke, you’re not a proper atheist.
PLAYBOY: Everybody thinks they’re an expert when it comes to comedy.
FERGUSON: And they are! It’s the one area in which everybody is legitimately an expert. You’re in charge of what makes you laugh and what doesn’t make you laugh. You’re the expert. But people forget that it’s still subjective. People say, “That guy’s not funny.” Oh shut up. Why, because he doesn’t make you laugh? So if Steve Martin doesn’t make me laugh, he’s not funny? [makes buzzer sound] No, wrong. Of course he’s fucking funny. It’s like when people say, “I don’t like rap music.” Well, don’t worry, Grandpa. It’s not for you.
PLAYBOY: Do you just tolerate the “experts” when they criticize you on Twitter?
FERGUSON: I block them. Anything remotely negative, I block them. That’s the most fantastic thing about Twitter. It’s like Stalin without all the death. If I don’t like you, I just get rid of you. It’s funny. People always tell me, “If you read the good reviews, you’ve got to read the bad reviews.” No you don’t. I want to read only good shit about me. I don’t want to read bad shit. What do you think I am, insane? I already think enough bad shit about myself.
PLAYBOY: You’re not curious why someone dislikes you?
FERGUSON: I’m really not. I used to be curious. I used to want to know what I did that made them so angry. Now I’m pretty sure they were already angry long before me. They were mad before the joke turned up. They were heckling before they got to the club. They were just doing it in their mind.
