Local Community Commemoration of 1982 Commonwealth Games

The local history organisations on the Southside are providing the opportunity for Brisbane to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the 1982 Commonwealth Games. On Saturday October 6 a commemorative afternoon tea will be held at the Sunnybank Hills Library from 1pm to 4pm. Everyone is invited to take part in the occasion which will include local history displays and public conversations on memories of the Games and its importance for the local neighbourhood.
