Welcome to the Cooper City Highschool NJROTC Battalion
About Us
The Cowboy unit was established on August 2009 by the Navy as the last JROTC unit in the Broward County District, making it the only district in the United States with a JROTC program in every public school. Our motto is:
"ONE TEAM, ONE GOAL = EXCELLENCE"
Over the years our Cowboy Battalion cadets have contributed service to various community events. We are recognized by our community for our dedication and service. Along with community service, our unit also attend field meets annually to compete in academic, drill, athletics, inspection, and spirit against the best of the best NJROTC units in the country. Moreover, we compete and bring home trophies in Brain Brawl, Marksmanship, and orienteering competitions yearly. Cowboy Battalion proudly received our 5th Unit Achievement Award in the 2017-2018 school year, and received the Distinguished Unit award in the 2016-2017, 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2021-2022, and 2022-2023 school years. We are a growing unit with a current number of 118 cadets. By embedding in our cadets honor, courage and commitment we prepare students to become leaders. As the youngest unit in Broward County we have come a long way, and ambitiously strive for the greater. OORAH COWBOYS!!!
