Evaluation Rubric: General Outdoor Ability
General Outdoor Ability is one of the five general skills of the Field School.
All students will be evaluated according to the following rubric.
Just as a reminder, the following items are listed as the Assignment.
- A knowledge and practical ability in safety and survival skills.
- A basic ability to camp, including staying dry and comfortable.
- An ability to maintain an orderly and clean environment.
- Willingness to make a positive contribution to the overall espirit of the camp.
- Participation in camp activities.
- Demonstration of proper and consistent maintenance of equipment.
- Timeliness.
- Participation in team activities, including appropriate leadership and team member roles.
- Proper establishment and tear-down of the camp.
- Respect for the environment in which the camp is established and the places visited.
- Appropriate contributions to the overall safety and security of the camp.
- Respect for all individuals in the camp and an appropriate recognition of the roles of all individuals.

- We need to add something about coming prepared.
