Chapter. Programmer Archaeologists

Science fiction author, Vernor Vinge, has written about a distant future where programmers no longer exist and are replaced by software librarians. The job requires a thorough knowledge of the software archives, which are used to create new applications by combining existing systems. We will be holding a contest for short stories that improvise on these ideas. The winning entry will be published in this chapter.
