Chapter. Developing Software with Open Source Components

Description

A number of factors influence how software developers search for and select open source projects to use in their own work. This chapter will be an extension of the paper "Selection of third party software in Off-The-Shelf-based software development - An interview study with industrial practitioners" by Ayala, Hauge, Conradi, Franch, and Li published in The Journal of Systems and Software. This extension will focus on the selection of Open Source Components.
