Adding images & other media to the slides.
Adding hyperlinks to Web sites.
Properly formatting Web page citations.
Downloading a copy of the presentation to the local hard disk.
Presenting the slides to an invited Internet audience.

A rubric for assessing mastery of the project skills is included in the downloadable resource packet. This may be used by the teacher for assessing student mastery, or as a self-assessment tool by the student.
Extending or Adapting
Here are some possible ways that this lesson plan might be extended or adapted for different timeframes, grade levels, and skill/ability levels:
The example project uses the topic of climate change and global warming as the focus for the research and presentation that is created. This project is easily modified for any topic under discussion, as the general procedures demonstrated are not topic specific.
Research can be expanded to include other resources besides Web sites. Students can be encouraged to add additional slides and media to the presentation.
Younger students, or students with limited language skills might use less text and more images for their presentations.
