Your club's web presence may help you to achieve certification through programs such as Clubmark (UK) and Good Sports (Australia) - and then help you to advertise that you have it to potential members.
- Many clubs like to receive accreditation or certification as it can potentially help them to:attract new members, supporters and/or sponsors
- apply for grants
- create a culture of inclusiveness
- update and review their processes and policies to ensure that they meet certain standards.

Each of these sites lists the potential benefits of being involved in these programs. However, it should also be remembered that achieving and maintaining these accreditations can take a lot of effort.
The club web presence can assist with accreditation in a number of ways:
- Your club can advertise its accreditation by placing the logo on the your website, social media pages and other sites.
- You can provide online access to club policies and codes of conduct introduced as part of the accreditation process. This will typically occur via the club website.
