Welcome to teamWWWork, a set of guidelines designed to assist your local sporting club to set up and maintain its web presence. Most pages will have brief summary like this to highlight the main points. If you are a first timer you should read below. Otherwise, navigate through the site via the menus above.

Welcome to the local club web presence guide. The guide can assist you to develop and maintain your local sporting club's web presence. Your web presence includes all of the tools (such as website and social media) that are available on the Internet that you use to support your club's activities. The site concentrates mainly on what your club is trying to achieve on the Internet and what online tools could support you. It is not meant to a primer on website design or how to set up a website, but it does contain some hints for this throughout. Note that the guide is primarily intended for the management of local sporting clubs servicing adult participants, but many clubs that are run for both seniors and juniors may benefit from using the guide.

The guide has been produced as a result of an investigation into two sports, athletics and cricket, in Australia and the UK. There are four major areas on the site that you can access as you need them via the menus at the top of the screen. Here is a quick description of each area:

Governance: learn about how clubs can manage their web presence, how they balance different web tools (platforms), how they measure the web presence success and how they manage other governance issues.
Volunteers: this is how clubs deal with the issue of volunteer availability, recruitment and management, the level of skills they require and how volunteers can manage their time.
Processes: this is one of the main areas of this website. It outlines the typical things that clubs want to do on the web and how to do it. This is a good place to start if you are unsure of what to do.
Tools: this lists the typical web tools used by local sporting clubs. It is similar to the Functions page, but is organised by web tools. Start here if you would like to know what particular tools are used for.
