The parent meeting was well attended last night! For those of you who couldn't make it, here is a recap:
Ride/Equipment sharing: Talk to each other about sharing rides home from practices and meets -
and passing on/selling equipment you may have and not be using. Talked about putting contact info on website. Rich and Su will talk to a racer if there is concern about the racer's equipment. Feel free to contact us with any questions. Race Schedule - a hard copy was handed out.
The schedule is available on the High School Activities page as well as our page which is linked on the Activities page. http://www.chisagolakes.k12.mn.us/activities.htm http://nsconference.org/g5-bin/client.cgi?cwellOnly=1&G5statusflag=view&schoolname=&school_id=1&G5button=13&G5genie=15&vw_schoolyear=1&vw_agl=90-1-464&category_sel=&category= Website - check it out - questions? contact me. https://sites.google.com/site/clalpineski/home Help at Races - we don't have the information about our positions we need to fill,
generally we'll need parent volunteers to gate keep, write down scores, or announce.
We'll let you know our needs as soon as we can.
This year our parents only have to work the races at Wild Mt. Team Pictures - date to be determine Sweatshirt Order -- see pdf attachment check the website later today (after 3pm) Parent/Skier/Alumni Spaghetti Dinner: Dec 20th after practice ~ 6:30pm and Wild Mt Invite Lunch - a sign up sheet was passed around. Contact Betsy Sandgren if you would like bring something to share sbsandgren@frontiernet.net Lunches at invites, sections and state Frostbite invite date TBD End of season booklet/banquet - team members and parents work on this together - more info forthcoming Other: Why we don't have a fire pit and food at meets - We don't do this because it is a distraction for the athletes.
This is a High School athletic competition. Hockey players, Basketball playes, gymnasts, they don't hit a snack table before or during a meet or game...
Racers must be focused and ready for their runs. Team members also need to support and be there for each other on the hill.
Parents are welcome to bring their own refreshments. Here is the info on John Westlund and the Winning Edge: www.winningedgetuning.com 651-775-5414 The full season tune is $200 (called Winning Edge) . It includes not only getting the skis fully in tune,
but any grinding, base repair, edge tuning, waxing, and buffing as needed.
I am doing a after practice pick up on Tuesday at Wild. Returning the skis to Wild Thursday for practice.
Other pick ups may be arranged if this works out.
Understand this is a FULL season deal where most Tunes are $70 or more and turnaround times are one week.
I am willing to turn them over in 48hrs. So it is a great deal for parents as well as the kids. Total w/ tax is $214.25 Sweatshirt Order forms were passed out at practice on Monday -
Attached is Option 2 Sweatshirts and Pants (both option forms will be up on the website later today - after 4pm)
Sweatshirts and Pants are Optional purchases and not required. Apologies if I missed anything. Please ask if you have any questions.
