Parks and Recreation

The Memphis Parks and Recreation department hosts a variety of events in the community throughout the year.  The Daddy/Daughter dance takes place in March or April of each year.  This event books up fast so when you see it advertised, sign up right away.

Music in the Park is held each Wednesday evening from 7pm to 8:30 pm from the last week in June until the 2nd week of August.   The music is held under the George Kirkendall Pavilion at  34758 Pratt Road rain or shine.

Check out our City parks!

The Ed Musial Memorial Park at the Belle River (M19 north end of town), the Old School Park (Union street next to the Police station),  and the Memphis Lions field (Pratt Road west of M19).  These parks offer picnic areas, playgrounds for the kids, as well as walking trails at Musial Park and the Lions Field.

We also host bus trips to plays, Jimmy Johns, and various outings.  Look for advertising on the city website or at the Post office.
