Parks and Recreation

The Memphis Parks and Recreation department hosts a variety of events in the community throughout the year.  Activities include Open Jam Night, 55 and up Night Out, Easter Egg Hunt, Talent by the River, and our annual Memphis Festival Weekend held the first weekend in August each year.  See the City Calendar for upcoming events!

In addition to scheduled events, there are a variety of city park options for residents and visitors to take advantage of.  These include Ed Musial Memorial Park at the Belle River (M19 north end of town), the Old School Park (Union Street next to the police station), and the Memphis Youth Center (Pratt Road west of M19).  These parks offer picnic areas, playgrounds for the kids, as well as walking trails at Musial Park and the Youth Center.  Take advantage of these family-friendly recreation opportunities!

The Parks and Recreation department is accepting monetary donations for our bands to perform during Talent by the River!  Donations will be accepted throughout the year.  In the Links section to the right of this page is sponsor information and the Band Schedule for the 2018 summer season!
