In the 1st term the learners will learn about Gods great love for them, The theme will revolve around the importance of belonging to Gods family. The importance of Mary as our mother is also brought up at the introductory level.

In the 1st term learners are tought that jesus Christ is a brother and leader who will lead us to our heavenly father .Jesus shows us the way to our father.The risen lord is with us. In the 2nd term Baptism and its importance to Christians is introduced.Term 111 introduces the learners to the sacrament of penance.Its of great importance that the teacher tries to form the correct attitude towards this sacrament.

The learners are introduced to the mass in a practical way so that they are able to take an active part in it according to their understanding . they must be taugh to respond to the priest not only in words but also with their hearts . In this ways we hope to lay the foundation for a Christian life in the hearts of the learners and enable them to derive strength for their lives from the holy Eucharist.

During this year emphasis is laid on the sacrament of confirmation, how to receive it, and what is expected of the adult Christians in the community.It also touches on the power Christians receive from the spirit to grow continually in divine life.This is made possible through the Eucharist which is both the sign and thesource of true Christian community of love. Finally, the christians’ duty to be a missionary is stressed.
