Standings after second meet (rounds 1-8)

This year our meeting dates are:

Meet 1  at West Las Vegas High School  Monday  October 14th,  Indigenous  people's day

CANCELED due to snow Meet 2  at Santa Fe Prep, Friday November 8th [canceled for snow; possible make-up round in Feb or March]

Meet 2 at Mandela International Magnet School, Thursday December 5

Meet 3  at Los Alamos High School, January 20th 2025  MLK day

Meet 4 at Academy for Technology and the Classics, Friday April 4 2025

Teams of 4 players compete for trophies over the course of all the meets.

Teams should be either High School (12th grade and under), Mid school (9th grade and under) or Elementary school (grade 6 and under).  Trophies can be won by the best performing teams in each section.  For each meet you should email Mark a couple of days before the event to tell him how many teams you plan to bring and in which section.  Then on the day you should check in by 9:30 to confirm your numbers.  All players play 4 games against other schools  at each meet.  About 1 week ahead of each meet I will send  you details of how to get there, concession stand info etc.

Game timing is "G/35;d5" (clock set to 35 minutes with a 5 second delay).

This year we will ask you for $20 per team in league fees.   Less than last year!  Not too many other expenses have gone down.  We hope you can bring some fine chess players and or some promising players.
