Re: Reference Letter for Charles S. Mote, Jr.
Charlie Mote excels at everything he does. In work, with family, in community service, no matter the field, Charlie is an achiever. He is precisely the type of person I want on my side in any struggle, professional or personal.
I have known Charlie for nearly twenty years. Charlie and I attended Macalester College together from 1988 through 1990 and were roommates during that period. Everything about Charlie impressed me. His work ethic, organizational skills, and friendliness were exceptional. For example, Charlie ran Macalester’s crew team. In just two years, he turned the struggling squad into the second strongest program in the entire Midwest. Macalester finished second to the University of Wisconsin – a school dozens of times larger – in the most prestigious regatta this side of Massachusetts and Macalester defeated numerous teams from larger, better financed athletic departments.
Since graduating from Macalester, Charlie has developed skills in a number of fields. As reflected on his resume, he has experience in the sciences, technology, languages, and sales. What I want to add is that Charlie’s integrity, loyalty and commitment are unsurpassed. I have treasured having him as my friend for two decades. He is an example to myself, our families, and other friends. In fact, I use his life as an archetype to inspire my students to greater achievement. If Charlie joins your organization, I can assure you of one thing – you will not be disappointed.
If you wish to discuss Charlie’s abilities and character further, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Joshua M. Silverstein
