Tonight, thousands of people around the world will be lined up in cinemas for the midnight premiere of The Blackmist Chronicles: Episode I: Red Moon, the much-anticipated feature-length prequel to last year's film adaptation of Sun-Studios' hit Flash game, Armed with Wings. In celebration of the film's release, for the first time ever, The Blackmist Chronicles: Episode II: Armed with Wings will be shown in its entirety on television, complete with only one commercial break (as always, consisting solely of commercials for TV Channel shows and other Sparkle Entertainment properties)!
Armed with Wings stars the voice talents of Grant Michaels (Sight, Distance, TV Channel Books' productions of The Dark is Rising Sequence, The Laboratory, TV Channel Books' production of I Am Number Four) in the title role and Greg Simmons (The Sight Chronicles series except Sight, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: Part II, Submachine: Part 1: the network) in his Oscar-nominated role of the tyrant king Vandheer Lorde. Armed with Wings is the former commander of the fallen rebel army, and he has returned from death more powerful than ever before to take his revenge on the evil Vandheer Lorde, the tyrant responsible for his death and the suffering of millions. With his new Eagle at his side, Armed with Wings will scale a mountain littered with traps and royal guards to reach the king's castle at the top, where the ultimate showdown between good and evil will take place. The film was nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Director (Gil Pasteur), Best Actor (Greg Simmons), Best Animated Feature (Head Animator Scott Mortonson; won), and Best Picture.
Armed with Wings is rated PG-13 (TV-14-LV) for strong violence and language. It will premiere as part of The TV Channel's film block, "The TV Channel's Small-Screen Cinema," tomorrow, March 23, at 9 PM EDT. It has a running time of approximately 150 minutes. Viewer discretion is advised.
