The three-part season premiere of After the Destruction continues tonight on SciFiTV, our newly-revived Friday-night science-fiction programming block! (If you missed the first part, you can catch it again on The TV Channel, tonight at 8 PM EDT, between new episodes of Mystery, Jr. and Betaforce, respectively! The town of Verity is in grave danger. Grotesque creatures are feeding on the small human population at night. As a result, Luke has set up a night watch team to help keep the town safe. But it soon becomes apparent that these creatures are smart and have figured out guards' patrol routes and schedules. They also begin invading the town in larger numbers. Soon, they will be unstoppable. And so Luke sets up a committee of surrogate biologists so that a weakness can be found in the creatures. However, what the committee discovers is more haunting than they could ever have imagined: the creatures are human...or at least they used to be....
Back in 2009, Eric's friend Johnny is diagnosed with Stage III melanoma as a result of excessive sun exposure, and the two of them are forced to deal with the possibility of Johnny's death.
