What we do
Education, COmmunity & Advocacy
We are engaged in our BC communities. We connect, socialize and have fun. We engage in lifelong learning and education on rights and issues impacting our communities and the lives of women and girls. CFUW clubs and members advocate on many issues including access to education, healthcare, housing, childcare, drinking water, long term care, free birth control, harm reduction and overdose prevention, liveable wages, employment and pay equity, prevention of violence and exploitation, our environment and climate change, reconciliation and Indigenous rights, supports for newcomers and refugees, elder rights, and more. We advocate locally, regionally, provincially, nationally and globally.
Across BC, each CFUW club raises money to support educational scholarships and bursaries for women and girls in their local communities and beyond. Nationally, CFUW has a Charitable Trust and provides annual fellowships and awards.
