K-3 Class 4-6-2 "Pacific" Type
K-3-b This group consisted of three locomotives built by Baldwin in 1912 numbered 230- 232. Two were scrapped in 1952 and one in 1954. They had 73 inch drivers.
K-3-d and K-3-e This group consisted of five locomotives leased from the Canadian National from April 1925 to July 1927. They were essentially the same as the Central Vermont engines, four built by Baldwin in 1910 and one in 1912. They were numbered 234-238 on the Central Vermont and 5604-5608 on the Canadian National. They were not needed after the Central Vermont's 4-8-2 engines arrived in 1927.

230 was only about a year old when it derailed at Essex Junction in 1913.
