Tree Assessment
At our November Board Meeting - we agreed to have an assessment done on the neighborhood tree population. 27 trees have been identified as potential road hazards. Please take a look at the report to see if any concerning trees are on your property. While the report results are not a requirement to removed troubled trees - landowners are responsible for any damage caused by trees that could potentially damage the road/etc.
The board has not yet decided on what to do with the findings of the report. Expect discussion at our fall meeting.

Residents of Cedar Ridge Estates,
As discussed at the annual meeting, we are contracted through Seattle Snow for ice management and snow removal. We are using this year as a trial period and will reevaluate at the next annual meeting to continue services. This year will also determine if we can maintain services with current annual dues or if dues will need to be raised to keep services.
Over the weekend we should have seen Seattle in action, however, there was miscommunication regarding the protocol for deployment. Apologies, we now understand how to deploy services. We would also like you to note, that just because we are in contract with this company, we will not be the first area serviced. They focus on Emergency routes and hospitals first, then move to residential. You are strongly advised to make appropriate arrangements for your vehicle regarding winter weather and getting in and out of our area (snow tires, studs, or chains).
There has been question regarding the chemical used for ice management, which is magnesium Chloride. We have made calls to Thurston County and Seattle Snow about the safety of this chemical and both told us it is safe. Please see these documents on our website or at the bottom of this page regarding further information on this compound, MSDS Liquid Ice Melt, MSDS-Granular Ice Melt, and FreezeGard Ci+ SDS. If you have further questions about this material, please contact Seattle Snow directly at 206.519.4409.
Thank you,
CRE Road Maintenance Board
