Camp Meriwether
Overview
Please decide merit badges you want to do at least a week before leaving for Meriwether. Some of the merit badges are by lottery only, so it’s important to know what you want to do so we can get you signed up.
If you any questions please attend the weekly zoom meeting held by Camp Meriwether (link below).
Below there are the links to the Camp Meriwether Portal (all camp info), the Merit Badge Schedule, the Merit Badge Descriptions, and the Daily Schedule. When choosing merit badges, make sure it works out with both schedules. Also take a look at any prerequisites needed as some badges like Cooking require you to bring everything you need to cook as the camp will not provide you with any resources for cooking.
If your family would like to send packages or letters to us while we are at camp please tell them to mail them by Wednesday so that they arive by Saturday. Mail must have the following format on the destination area:

Important Dates
Friday July 15 - Home COVID Test
Each Scout (and attending adult) should perform a rapid, at-home COVID test. If you are COVID positive sorry but you cannot attend camp. Please notify troop leadership as soon as possible if you cannot go to camp.
Saturday, July 16 - Shoreline to Meriwether
Meet at the church parking lot at 8:30 AM.
We will verify ALL paperwork / forms before leaving for Oregon because Camp Meriwether will deny entrance to anyone with incomplete forms. BSA Medical Forms parts A, B, and C must be complete and signed by Scout's physician. No A, B & C - no camp.
We will then leave by 9:00am and drive down to Oregon. Troop plans to meet up at the Tilamook Creamery NO LATER THAN 4:00, eat lunch and caravan the last 20 miles to camp. Meriwether requires all members of our troop to be present and our asigned time of 5:00pm before they will let us in.
Because we are arriving a day early, the Troop must plan and cook meals ourselves for Saturday dinner, Sunday breakfast and Sunday lunch.
Sunday July 17 through Saturday July 23 - Camp Meriwether
Troop enjoys Camp Meriwether activities.
Saturday July 23 - Meriwether to Shoreline
After morning breakfast, Troop will pack up campsite and depart for Shoreline. Families picking Scouts from Camp should arrive at Meriwether no later than [Time to be confirmed].
