1 cup oats
2 cups water
1/4 teaspoon salt
(final seasoning, off heat)
1/4 cup brown sugar
sprinkle cinnamon
1/4-1/2 cup milk
stove: medium low, then simmer
medium sauce pan
makes enough for 2 hungry people (!)
put in oats, water, and salt together (cold), heat on medium low (no lid?)
stir frequently
add more salt to taste
turn it down when it boils (to like 1)
simmer until thickened (10 minutes)
stir every minute or so
remove from heat and add final seasoning
