LATEST UPDATE: I have incorporated the latest available data from ecad.eu
I have just loaded the latest available temperature data from https://www.ecad.eu/dailydata/index.php.
This includes data until May 31 2026. On the Previous page I published on this topic, almost all of the highest temperature values recorded were from Spain. Now the picture is different. I suppose this is due to a difference in reporting times from different countries. I will try to clear this point up with the people of ecad.eu for future data loads.
In this latest picture you can see the highest temperature values up to May 31 were mainly recorded in Northern Europe (Netherlands and Finland mainly), and very high values indeed for these regions (37 - 38+ degrees Centigrade). Note the max_temp column is in tenths of degrees.
Below I have executed the same workflow / report, but after adding data up until June, 30.
Note that all the values in the top100 are way over 40 degrees Centrigrade and most of them are in Central Europe. Values are in tenths of degrees.
I was not able to confirm the 58,9 degrees value in DikiliĀ (Turkey). This is probably a data error.
