Wanda MacNevin, former Director of Community Programs at the Jane/Finch Community and Family Centre, has written a book book about the evolution of the community from the perspective of those who have called Jane-Finch their home and those who have contributed to the development of the community. Having lived in the area since childhood and worked in it for over 40 years, Ms. MacNevin felt compelled to both understand and to document the history of the community by interviewing people with whom she has kept in touch and others who were recommended to her. What follows are a number of transcripts from her primary research, which document this history.
