HDCA Team Lightning Tournament

On Tuesday 4th July, the Hull and District Chess Association Team Lightning Tournament took place at the Royal Hotel in Hull.

Steve Hodge, Alec Grice, Peter Perkins and yours truly represented Beverley, under the name of Beverley Bamboozlers. David Mills played on top board for one of Scunthorpe teams.

Grimsby won the tournament, on board count, after ending up in joint first with Hull C (who have won it the last 10 times or so) and Hull Extras.

We ended up sharing 4th place with St. Andrews C, after winning 3 matches, drawing 1 and losing 1.
