To the people of God at Bethel, Jamestown,
1 Thessalonians 1:2-3 We always give thanks to God for all of you and mention you in our prayers, constantly remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
I am impressed with Bethel Lutheran Church. Your leadership is committed to the good of the congregation as they serve in their positions of responsibility. Being in a council meeting is to be with people who take their council position seriously and seek to implement and improve Bethel’s ministry.
I am impressed with Bethel Lutheran Church, as our president, Gregg Davis, gives us his leadership and dedication to the council and the congregation. His music talents enrich Saturday worship. Please read his letter in this newsletter. It inspired me.
I am impressed with Bethel Lutheran Church. I love leading worship here on Saturdays and Sundays. Our music is excellent. The rejuvenated choir and the bell choir have inspired me as we worship together. I hope that the Sunday school can grow. The two-minute blessings in worship tell us of the wonderful ministries happening here. Bethel is active.
I am impressed with Bethel Lutheran Church as you took part in the presentation by Christine Prinzi and Paul Gutzmer, and as you share your views with the council by completing the survey. The council and I look forward to knowing your views as a member of Bethel. All are important.
I am impressed with Bethel Lutheran Church. The Harvest Dinner was wonderful, as were the donations of food and funds for St. Susan’s and Bethel’s food cupboard! Thanks to all who made it happen.
First Communion preparation: We soon will prepare several young people to receive their first communion, joining with several from St. Timothy. If you would like to participate, please let me know.
I remain available to you for any pastoral need. You may contact me at the church, 661-9050, reach me at my cell phone, 397-8640, or by email at pastoralananderson@gmail.com.
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Alan
