Woke up and tightened random bolts again.

Soon after leaving camp I got to see some pretty classic things along Route66 including the Wigwam Hotel and classic cars.

Also saw some cave dwellings which I highly recommend (I think I got in trouble for running; so give yourself more time than I did).

Was 95% sure my motorcycle was dying and that I'd have to fly home but luckily figured out it was just a fouled spark plug. I didn't have any spares with me because I had never pulled a spark plug up until that day and just figured they were good for life.

The delays meant that I missed the last leg of Route66, so will need to do that at some point if anyone wants to join. Didn't do the Chicago to Oklahoma leg either obviously so that is also a potential future trip though interests me less.

Anyway, took the highway through LA and on to meet up at my college friend's place in Santa Barbara. Sounds like a late night that required singing to myself to stay awake.

The smell of the Pacific was apparently bittersweet (although the way I put it at the time was: "gross + satisfying."
