I woke up early-ish to avoid being shot. Must have had to kick over the bike for quite a while because my motorcycle always takes a long time to get started and for me to say it "almost didn't start" is really saying a lot.
The notes don't show it but I grabbed a breakfast burrito at my first stop. Also, they had one of my apparently non-original invention ideas which was a roll of cloth hand towels that moves from a clean roll side to a dirty one.
Then, realizing I was already in the town with the Big Texan, I killed a little time in town shopping but again chose not to buy new gear due to the price of things.
Without further delay I bought myself a 72oz steak and tried to eat in an hour along with a potato, fried shrimps, a salad and a drink. I think I ate everything except for about 2lbs of steak. Perhaps if I had gotten more sleep, had skipped the breakfast burrito, or had actually waited until I was hungry I could have made it through. For anyone that does try it out, ask for it to be seasoned less than normal (it is delicious but that much seasoned meat is just too much).
I rode through the early afternoon but eventually crashed in a motel (I figured I deserved the break). Had a warm shower, some leftover steak, and by the sounds of it hit-or-miss TV while planning out my next day.
