The next day I woke up, checked out my camp, took a photo with my camera's timer, and packed up.
My tachometer cable broke, but my ears still worked so I still knew when to shift.
There was a tornado coming East on the highway as I traveled West. Luckily I switched over my mp3 player from the 100 songs it had on it over to radio just in time to hear the warnings and pulled off under a church awning to wait it out.
When I stopped for gas at one point afterwards I found I almost lost all my gear due to the strong cross-winds.
Stopped at an RV park that appeared closed but paid some guy cash and he said I could set up my tent. Sounds like I didn't entirely trust that he really worked there, woke up to sounds at 4am, and my bike might have fallen over during the night.
Overall a pretty eventful second day - maybe it's for the best that I don't remember it better.
