Overview of Week's Activities

1. Water your ferns in petri dishes. This will allow sperm to swim to the eggs to form sporophytes (baby ferns!)

2. Nutrition Sources Journal: Calculate your total food intake of 5 different food group categories in a typical day and compare with USDA daily recommendations (5 points) .

3. Perform iodine tests for starch:

a.) Take background quiz for Starch & hypothesis testing (1.2 points)

b.) Test hypothesis about starch content of bananas at different stages of ripeness. Test hypothesis about starch content of onions to potatoes. Post results and descriptions on Padlet (4 points)

c.) Take final quiz for Starch & hypothesis testing (1 point)
