Attention BHSA Members:

Please be aware of these recent Rule updates in blue:

Short-Stirrup Equitation:  Open to riders 12 years and under as of December 1 of the current show year.  Jumps may not exceed 18”.   Riders not allowed to cross enter into classes where they would jump higher than 18” except for VHSA Associate Short Stirrup Hunter. *If riders compete at the 2’ height, this will impact their BHSA Student Equitation eligibility Courses may be trotted. To be judged on hands, seat, guidance, and control throughout the class.

Student Equitation:  Open to riders in their first or second year of showing over fences at 2’ or higher as of December 1 of the current show year.  Jumps to be a minimum of 2’.  Riders competing in the Student Equitation Division are limited to two years only, whether they compete over fences or not.  To be judged as an equitation division.  Points go to the rider.   Courses may be trotted. To be judged on hands, seat, guidance, and control throughout the class.

The Kelly's Ford jumper show scheduled for June 28th has been cancelled.

The Orange County Fair horse show scheduled for June 13th has been cancelled.

The HSCV at Haverhill horse show scheduled for May 23rd has been rescheduled to June 14th. 

The Whitestone Farm horse show scheduled for May 2nd has been rescheduled to July 11th. 

The Kelly's Ford horse shows scheduled for April 25th and May 9th have been rescheduled (dates TBD).

The Summerduck Run Farm horse show scheduled for April 26th has been rescheduled (date TBD).

The Woodpecker Farm horse show scheduled for April 26th has been rescheduled (date TBD). 

The Berryville horse show scheduled for April 25th has been rescheduled to June 20th.
