This card is the property of the institution and serves as proof of status to enable access to the institution and use the many services & resources that are available, such as the use of the libraries. All staff and students will be issued a School Identification (ID) Card.
All cardholders must maintain and carry a current ID card for the entire period that they are affiliated with the institution. The cardholder is responsible for the care and safekeeping of the ID card and it must be protected and carried by the student at all times. Punching of holes in the ID card and the use of stickers, pins or other items to affix it, is strictly prohibited.
Library Loans:
This ID acts as a library card and should be presented at the circulation desk in order to borrow items from the library. The cardholder is held responsible for materials borrowed with his/her card. Illegal use of this card acknowledges the right of the library to impose penalties and/or sanctions in keeping with the library's circulation policy for misuse/abuse of the card and failure to return materials on time.
Replacement or Damaged ID Card:
If the most recently issued ID card becomes unusable due to normal wear and tear, it will be replaced at no charge to the student.
If for any other reason an ID card needs to be replaced, the patron will have to pay the non-refundable ID card replacement fee, payable by cash. (cost will include the lanyard and pocket)
Payment will be fulfilled by the respective schools' administration and processing of the ID will be facilitated at the library.
Obtaining the School ID Card:
ID cards are issued by the Library Media Centre.
Individuals requesting a new ID card must fill out the ID Card Acquisition Form available at the library.
Photos are taken on the second (2nd) and the fourth (4th) Fridays of every month.
The process of having a new ID card printed permanently deactivates the most recently issued card. The invalid ID card will be disposed of.
Student ID colour code:
Five standard colours will be used to represent the various form levels (interchangeably) in the Lower School, while in the Sixth form two standard colours will be utilized.
These colours are:
Lower School: Red, Blue, Green, Orange and Yellow
Sixth form: Purple and Light Blue.
The photos must be taken against a plain white background in their School Uniform .
The photos must be clear, sharp and in focus.
The photos must show a full front view of the face and top of the shoulders squared to the camera (the image of the face and shoulders must be centered in the photo). The head must not be tilted to the side.
Applicant should show a neutral facial expression (smiling is permitted, mouth closed) and look straight at the camera.
The photos must show a full head without any head covering unless it is worn for religious beliefs or medical reasons.
Prescription eyeglasses may be worn as long as the eyes are clearly visible and there is no reflection or glare on the eyeglasses.
