The BATCE Library Media Centre has evolved over the years — not only in space and services but also in the people and positions that keep it running smoothly. Each role contributes to the library’s mission of supporting academic excellence, creativity, and lifelong learning across the school community.

Current Library Structure

Our current staffing structure reflects the diverse functions of a modern secondary school library. The team includes:

Library Manager

Oversees all operations of the Library Media Centre, including strategic planning, collection development, and coordination of library programs and activities.

Assistant Librarian

Supports research assistance, user services, and helps manage daily operations to ensure a seamless library experience.

Library Technician

Provides technical and cataloguing support, maintains records, and ensures efficient organization and accessibility of library materials.

Library Assistant I

Assists with circulation services, shelving, and helps maintain a welcoming and orderly library environment.

Library

Aide

Offers essential support in daily library routines, assisting users and helping with displays, events, and upkeep of library spaces.
