A Library Prefect is more than just a student helper — they are the Defenders of the Library.
They’re the ones who help keep the library a calm, welcoming space for everyone. You might spot a prefect giving that gentle “shhh” look when things get a little too loud. Or see one carefully scanning the shelves, making sure every book is exactly where it belongs. Behind the scenes, they assist with organizing materials, helping other students, and ensuring the library runs smoothly day after day.
Being a Library Prefect isn’t just about following rules — it’s about leadership, teamwork, and service. Prefects develop valuable skills in organization, communication, and responsibility — qualities that extend far beyond the library walls.
So, if you’re a Form Three or 6th Form student who enjoys helping others, loves books, or simply wants to make a positive impact…
