Chorus:
We are the army of the Midrealm
We are fighting for our King
We are the children of the Dragon
Come and feel our weapons sting
We will march onto the field
We will march, fill their hearts with fear
We will march with our King and Queen
We will march, for those we hold dear
We will fight, we will use our spears
We will fight, we will use our bows
We will fight, with sword and shield
We will fight and defeat our foes
Chorus
We will march to victory
We will march, the ground will shake
We will march for fair Midrealm
We will march, their armies quake
We will fight the Tiger bold
We will fight and beat them sore
We will fight for we have the right
We will fight, and win this War
Chorus:
We will fight for our Roses fair
We will fight with honor sure
We will fight for great Midrealm
We will fight for our hearts are pure
We will win, win this War
We will win, keep them in our sights
We will win, we shall not yield
We will win, with Dragon might
Final Chours:
We are the army of the Midrealm
We are fighting for our King
We are the children of the Dragon
Come and feel our weapons sting

Music: Trad: “The Cuckoo’s Nest”
VERSE 1:
In the first mists of time, formed the Kingdom of the West.
And next to be born was that Eastern Tiger Mess.
But the third try’s the charm and you’ll pardon if I boast
That the best realm is the homeland of the Dragon Host!
REFRAIN (after each verse):
We will march to pick lilies. We will march to the gulf.
We will march off to Pennsic to pound tigers into pulp.
And we’ll shout as we march. Let all kingdoms hear our boast
That the best realm is the homeland of the Dragon Host!
VERSE 2:
From the sunny sands of Atenveldt, came kingdom number four.
And Meridies soon followed, realm of forest, field and moor.
Fair Caid came next, where dolphin treks between lands flung afar.
And the seventh day saw Ansteorra’s rising star.
VERSE 3:
Blue Atlantia was carven by great waves of crashing foam.
Zeus’s tears shaped An Tir, where the soggy lion roams.
From a falcon’s egg, hatched Calontir, while purple Saxons sang.
And Trimaris, the eleventh realm, of romance sprang.
VERSE 4:
Dancing deer by the dozen raised the Outlands’ desert wall.
Then our shadow dragon cousin built a nest in Drachenwald.
Out of glaciers, salt and geysers, Artemisia appeared.
And, from battle-spark, blazed Aethelmearc, our fifteenth peer.
VERSE 5:
Howling wolves conjured Ealdormere from hieland winds and then,
To our wonder way down-under, jumped Lochac to seven and ten.
Golden griffins begat Northshield—that friendly frozen fief
And Gleann Abhan realm was colonized by fearless sheep.
Final REFRAIN:
We will march to pick lilies. We will march to the gulf.
We will march off to Pennsic to pound tigers into pulp.
And we’ll shout as we march. Let all kingdoms hear our boast
That the best realm is the homeland of the Dragon Host!
FINAL CADENCE: (call / repeat)
Left, Left, Left Right Left
There are nineteen kingdoms on the map.
Some like to fight. Some like to yap.
They come to war with the Dragon Host.
Some are allies. The rest are toast.
Come march with us now, friend or foe.
Everybody to the battlefield. Here we go!
Sound Off! (1,2 ) Sound off! (3, 4) Sound off (1, 2, 3, 4 – 1,2 … 3, 4)

Beneath the Midrealm banner We proudly take our stand
Sons and daughters of the Dragon the finest in the land
Our arms are strong, our weapons bright No quarter will we give
Our hearts are high and proud with love
For the fair land where we live
Chorus:
Forth go the banners! Hear the Midrealm army call
Forth go the banners! From wood and field and hall
Shoulder to shoulder, we will march against the foe
Sons and daughters of the Dragon, singing as we go.
Verse 2:
King Ullr leads us forward Noble beyond compare
In our hearts Queen AnneLyse The fairest of the fair
We will defend their honor With spear and sword and shield
'Til all our foes have fallen For we will never yield.
Chorus:
Forth go the banners! Hear the Midrealm army call
Forth go the banners! From wood and field and hall
Shoulder to shoulder, we will march against the foe
Sons and daughters of the Dragon, singing as we go.
Verse 3:
White is the ground of the badge that we all wear
Its purity the honor That we all strive to share
Red as blood the noble pale of courage there displayed
The mighty Dragon glowing green With faith and service brave
Final Chorus:
Forth go the banners! Here the Midrealm army call
Forth go the banners! From wood and field and hall
Shoulder to shoulder, we will march against the foe
Sons and daughters of the Dragon, singing as we go.
Sons and daughters of the Dragon, singing as we go.

Music: Traditional Chassidic melody
Chorus:
Red knight falls, enshroud his regal light
Pale son tall, claims scepter bright
Grief and mirth in twain turn 'round about
Cry the exit of the dragon with a lingering shout
King bows before a fickle throne
Prince comes into his own
Who next will don the dragon crown?
Prove your mettle to the Middle
Dare to dance the golden round
Chorus
New liege rises like the morning dawn
Fresh reign, auspicious omens' spawn
Bold young star, battle born emblazes all
Make your mark on Midrealm lore
Before the dragon slayer calls
Chorus
Old liege sets in legendary dusk
Burnt orb, empty ember husk
Yet land's lord 'til the changing of the sire
Yield the dragon monarch mantle
To the heir of crimson fire
Chorus
King bows before a fickle throne
Prince comes into his own
Who next will don the dragon crown?
Prove your mettle to the Middle
Dare to dance the golden round
Final Chorus:
Red knight falls, enshroud his regal light
Pale son tall, claims scepter bright
Grief and mirth in twain turn 'round about
Cry the exit of the dragon with a lingering shout

I know a place far from great open seas
where some say green dragons still roam
the people are friendly and kind as you please
it's here I'm proud to call home
as wond'rous and lovely as my home may seem
often we're all called to arms
and normally stoic, good gentles will teem
and rally for our common cause
Chorus:
For they live for the glory of their noble king
bells sound with their loyalty's ring
with the names of their loved ones as songs they sing
they fight for the Midrealm.
A few of our gentles are greater than most
for their deeds are known to all
the green dragon bards will feel their hearts stir
as they submit to the call
Sultan Jafar was well-loved by us all
and Forgan of Darkyard was strong
Noelle and Alaric lead with their hearts
and Dread King Dag sails long
Chorus:
For they live for the glory of their noble king
bells sound with their loyalty's ring
with the names of their loved ones as songs they sing
they fight for the Midrealm.
As great as a few of our gentles may be
a kingdom is nothing save for
the people who work just as much as they breathe
and greatness never shall know
our scribes form their letters for others' renown
our weavers make cloth we can don
our dancers can show us a fleeting dream
our fighters and fencers lay on
Chorus:
For they live for the glory of their noble king
bells sound with their loyalty's ring
with the names of their loved ones as songs they sing
they fight for the Midrealm.
Despite all the wonders that my kingdom holds
the future's mysterious way
will only reveal through the passage of time
so we must live day to day
we must raise our children so that they may see
what great gifts come from the past
thought if things continue the way I have seen
our kingdom is sure to last
Final Chorus:
So I'll live for the glory of my noble king
bells sound with my loyalty's ring
with the names of my loved ones as songs I sing
I fight for my household
and I fight for my shire
and I fight for the Midrealm!

It's only a small band of gold
To adorn the brow of our queen
Only a small band of gold
But if you look closer you'll see
The inspiration of hundreds
A piece of the dream we can hold
Chorus:
This place is what we make of it
Constellation is what we make of it
This dream is what we make of it
This dream we believe
It's only a small piece of land
A lake, a hill and a tree
Only a small piece of land
But if you look closer you'll see
The home I've built with my chosen kin
The crossroads where we proudly stand
(chorus)
It's only a light in the sky
A glitter, a spark and a gleam
One tiny star in the sky
But if you look closer you'll see
The guiding light of my homeland
The where and the how and the why
Final Chorus:
This place is what we make of it
Constellation is what we make of it
This dream is what we make of it
This dream we believe

Tune: Over the Hills and Far Away, 17c. Trad
Chorus:
O’er the hills and o’er the plains
For Dragon realm we fight and train.
The Crown commands and we obey,
Over the hills and far away
When duty calls me I must go,
To stand and face the eastern foe.
But know I will return some day
Over the hills and far away
Chorus
So Fall in lads behind the drums,
We all, have volunteered to come.
To serve for honor not for pay,
Over the hills and far away
Chorus
If low the odds we face are long,
Fear not, as comrades we’ll stand strong.
Face down the Tiger come what may,
Over the hills and far away.
Chorus
(Optional Verse)
And If I fall no more to rise,
Lay me down where Dragons fly.
And ask the bards to sing and play
Over the hills and far away
Chorus
So n’er the trumpets sound retreat
Let Adam and bold Anton beat
The plans, the east throws us today
Over the hills and far away.
Chorus
Now lasses and bold gentleman
Come form the lines and fight again
Till victory banners roll and sway
Over the hills and far away
Final Chorus x2

Out of the depths of winter, when the cold wind bites like steel
Come a hardened host of warriors, with the war-drake on their shields
And every year we follow, where their horns lead, high and bright
To stand beside and with them in the green fields of the fight
REFRAIN:
And it's hie to the warhorn, and hie for the Midrealm
From the shores of the Inner Seas to the hills of Dragonsmark
May your shields never falter, may your spears never waver
And may the warhorns of summer find you waiting for the call
When we warriors come a-marching through the roselight of the morn
We greet the gentle wind on whom our song is born
Now it stirs the tree-tops singing overhead where they us dome
May it lift our voices ringing to the heights of heaven's home
(Refrain)
As we travel on and onward through the beauty of the day
We greet the rising sun that shines on us today
Grant us valor with thy vision, that sees all from high above
Judge us for what we fight for, for honor and for love
(Refrain)
Around our starry campfires in the dark and lonely hour
We mind our loved ones sleeping in the breast of our home's bower
Their grace, their love, their beauty our weary spirits do renew
For glory, yes, we fight for. Yet we fight for their love, too
(Refrain)
Our courage will not falter, nor our temper break or bend
Though the ghosts of ancient sorrows cry vengeance on the wind
Let us greet our valiant foemen who honor us this day
Without their might and prowess our own would fade away
(Refrain)
Should we not return this summer, if on the wall you see our blaze
Among the trophy tiger-skins and the flags of elder days
Tell our friends we died in battle, and of our deaths to feel no shame
For we fell with glory in our grasp,
and on our lips our loved ones' names
FINAL REFRAIN:
And it's hie to the warhorn, and hie for the Midrealm
From the shores of the Inner Seas to the hills of Dragonsmark
May your shields never falter, may your spears never waver
And may the warhorns of summer find you waiting for the call

Chorus:
I will fight for my King and for our Queen so fair
The people of our kingdom and the land that we all share
For We are one under the dragon we are one.
Rumbles round the kingdom meant the time had come for war
We put away our pitchforks and sharpened every sword
Marching off to battle my weapon by my side
I leave behind my children, my homestead, and my bride
And we are one under the dragon we are one
Chorus
Archers pull their bowstrings taut, the forward lines advance
I hear my captain calling stand strong now here's our chance
My hand is shaking on my shield excitement fills my soul
My brothers stand around me and I know I'm not alone
For we are one under the dragon we are one
Chorus
Our unit pulls together as the enemy draws near
My heart is pounding in my chest, blood rushing in my ears
We form a solid shield wall spearmen take the field
The dragon strong within my breast I know I shall not yield
And we are one under the dragon, we are one.
Chorus
Our armies crash together in a surging wave of steel
Thunder fills the valley with the clashing of our shields
swords reach out to claim our foes, we feel our marks hit home
We'll fight together side by side until this battle's won
And we are one under the dragon, we are one
Chorus
At the sounding of our battle horn, the foe does fear and flee
My King cries "come Midrealm, sweep on to victory!"
We vanquish all our mighty foes, our hearts filled with pride
Oh Children of the Dragon, Rejoice for we're alive!
We have won under the Dragon, we have won.

Tune: “Windmills” , “Circles” or “The Song of the Circle”
REFRAIN:
And anon and anon,
Sing the kings of the Midrealm.
“Sovereigns must change
As the seasons go by.
Each Springtime is gladly crowned
Summer's warlord of glory,
But Autumn crowns, in turn,
Winter's lord or lord of ale and ice.
VERSE 1:
Twas long, long ago
When the dragon first awakened
To find all his lands
Filled with mortals whom he feared.
The worm laughed with wicked wrath
As his grim curse was spoken,
“Let every Midrealm king
Reign but half a year.”
REFRAIN
VERSE 2:
Our present king looks down
From the throne his sword arm won him.
He fought and planned for years--
Now he wonders at the cost.
What fool desires
Such a heavy crown of burdens,
Full- knowing that his reign
*(Summer) Lasts but till the Autumn frost?
*(Winter) Lasts but till the late Spring thaw?
REFRAIN
VERSE 3
The dragon thought his spell
Would enslave the Midrealm's people.
How could they not despair
If their lords were doomed to fall?
But years passed, and kings reigned
In unbroken line undaunted.
And now the worm must serve
At the scepter's beck and call
END REFRAIN x2:
And anon and anon,
Sing the kings of the Midrealm.
“Sovereigns must change
As the seasons go by.
Each Springtime is gladly crowned
Summer's warlord of glory,
But Autumn crowns, in turn,
Winter's lord or lord of ale and ice.”

The Midrealm Army to the War has gone
Where strength and honor stand beside her.
Her armor bright as a dragon's scales
And the oaken sword raised to guide her
Shield by Shield with my brother's stand
And heroes' blood awaken.
Breathe the fires of our Motherland
And smite our enemies unshaken.
Raise your voices and raise your eyes
Behold the starry host assembling.
The gale winds rumble and the thunder roars -
A storm of warriors approaching.
“Draco” shout and “Invictus” call,
Across the fields resounding.
The hills shall tremble and the foeman fall
When the mighty dragon comes a-marching

Where are the dragons who sat at the feet
of our mothers and fathers in yesterday's hall?
where are the dragons who rise with the thunder
to answer a warrior's call...
Where are the dragons who marched with Duke Dagan,
Where are the dragons who fought Pennsic Four?
Where are the dragons who live for our Victory,
Dragons who call out for war!
(Chorus:)
MidRealm, Dragons will hold the field
MidRealm, no never will we yield
MidRealm, all for our king and queen,
Noelle and Alaric's banner we follow!
MidRealm!
Where are the Dragons of Rolac and Palymar,
Where are the Dragons of Comar and Finn!
Where are the Dragons of Brannos and Rangvaldr,
Our move to war now begins!
Where are the Dragons of Eislinn and Talymar
Where are the Dragons of Bardolph and Brigh
Where are the Dragons,
we know we want something more
Soon it will be time to feed...
(Chorus:)
MidRealm, Dragons will hold the field
MidRealm, no never will we yield
MidRealm, all for our king and queen,
Noelle and Alaric's banner we follow!
MidRealm!
We are the dragons of Thorbjorn Greysides
We are the dragons of Sultan Jafar!
We are the dragons of Forgan of Darkyard,
Word fame has spread very far.
We are the Dragons who founded the Northshield
We are the Dragons who birthed Calontir
We love the Griffon, unhooded the Falcon, and
Freed the white wolf, Ealdormere!
(Chorus:)
MidRealm, Dragons will hold the field
MidRealm, no never will we yield
MidRealm, all for our king and queen,
Noelle and Alaric's banner we follow!
MidRealm!
Where are the dragons who sat at the feet
of our mothers and fathers in yesterday's hall?
where are the dragons who rise with the thunder
to answer a warrior's call...
We are the dragons who sat at the feet
of our mothers and fathers in yesterday's hall.
We are the dragons, WE FIGHT FOR THE MIDREALM!
and answer a warrior's call...
(Final Chorus:)
MidRealm, Dragons will hold the field
MidRealm, no never will we yield
MidRealm, all for our king and queen,
Noelle and Alaric's banner we follow!
MidRealm, DRACO INVICTUS!
MidRealm, come and fight with us
MidRealm, all for our king and queen,
Noelle and Alaric's banner we follow!
MidRealm, Dragons will hold the field
MidRealm, no never will we yield
MidRealm, all for our king and queen,

Music: Haul Away Joe
When I was a little lad, I thought I'd be a fighter.
Way march away, we'll march away. Go.
So armored I and took the field, to learn me tourney fighting.
Way march away, we'll march away. Go.
My foeman's sword did strike my helm.
No church bell could ring louder.
Way march away, we'll march away. Go.
Chorus:
Way march away, we're bound for Pennsic glory.
Way march away, we'll march away. Go.
Now come we to the Pennsic field, we'll pull the Tyger's whiskers.
Way march away, we'll march away. Go.
We'll clip his claws and twist his tail,
then send him home a'roaring.
Way march away, we'll march away. Go.
With triumph's tune upon our lips, we'll sing around the fire.
Way march away, we'll march away. Go.
Final Chorus x2:
Way march away, we're bound for Pennsic glory.
Way march away, we'll march away. Go.

Music: We Be Three Poor Mariners
We be Midrealm warriors
The Dragon’s teeth and claws
While others keep in peaceful sleep
We fight for King and cause
Refrain:
Shall we go fight and swing the bloody sword
And shall we go swing the bright and bloody sword
And if you are a fighter bold
Come march with us to fight this bloody war
We live to fight and fight to live
Each to his final breath
For life can only be maintained
By marching roads of death
(Refrain)
With sword and shield and spear and glaive
We do our foes great harm
But know our greatest weapons be
Our hearts and minds and arms
(Refrain)
We temper strength with Chivalry
Though some may call us Mad
We’d rather lose a fight that’s good
Than win a cause that’s bad
(Refrain)
We are the Midrealm’s armored might
Through victory and loss
And he who tests our strength of arms
Must always count the cost
(Refrain)
We be Midrealm warriors
The Dragon’s teeth and claws
While others keep in peaceful sleep
We fight for King and cause
Final Refrain:
Shall we go fight and swing the bloody sword
And shall we go swing the bright and bloody sword
And if you are a fighter bold
Come march with us to fight this bloody war!

I sing the praise of the Midrealrn Ladies,
By far the fairest in all the land.
Their grace and beauty of form and figure,
would charm the heart of the strongest man.
They rise at morning like swans to sunlight,
On wings of beauty into the dawn.
My hearts been lost to the Midrealrn Ladies,
A heart once guarded, now stolen and gone.
My mother warned me 'gainst Midrealrn Ladies,
"If you go nigh them you'll ne'er return."
My mother spoke true of the Midrealrn Ladies,
To know them is all that I ever need learn.
My lords, go find you a Midrealrn Lady,
And love her and praise her with all your soul.
Fight for her honor, with death avenge her,
And make her favor your highest goal.
I sing the praise of the Midrealrn Ladies,
By far the fairest in all the land.
Their grace, their beauty of form and figure,
Would charm the heart of the strongest man.

Tune: A Captain is a Father to his Crew
(As found in the ‘Compleat Rivenstar Songbook, cir. 1981)
I was born full grown one morn, a broadsword in my hand
I've tramped the plains from East to West,
I've raided the Southernmost lands,
I've lost and won in War and Crown across the Known World’s span,
I've slain and died on a thousand fields, a Midrealm fighting man.
And when my king was Andrew, I first marched to Pennsic war,
I followed Bearengaer to Three, and Rolac out to Four,
With Albert and with Finvarr, and Moonwulf, and Laurelen,
I've seen the dead on a thousand fields, a Midrealm fighting man.
I saw the dread Meat Grinder, and survived the Hornet's Nest,
I marched along the Primrose Path and fell with all the rest,
I met the Charge at Turner's Farm, and made a fighting stand,
Throughout the wars, I've lived and died, a Midrealm fighting man.
(Repeat first verse.)

Music: The Bonnie Ship the Diamond - Traditional
It was a post of honor, that’s what the king did say
And we picked up sword and spear and shield
and boldly marched away
With Darkmoon and with Kriegsturm,
and the Midrealm Rangers all
We set ourselves for battle on a bridge that must not fall.
Chorus:
Hoist your shields up, my lads, bring your spears to the fore
We’re the Constellation Army on the bridge at Pennsic War!
The odds were stacked against us. The game was rigged to fail.
The Eastern Army thought they’d be the hammer to our nail
They boasted that they’d beat us, they’d rend us limb from joint
But the nail turned to a spearhead and the Tyger got the point!
Chorus
The Constellation spearmen, they played a deadly game
And the Tygers ranged against us fell before our deadly aim
Enraged, the Tygers charged us. Our spearmen dodged the field
And Eastern Tygers crashed and died on Constellation shields!
Chorus
When that bloody battle started we were scarce but sixty-five
When the final cannon sounded there were less than ten alive
But the East realm could not break us and defiant we still stand
And half the Tygers dead that day were by Constellation hands!
Final Chorus:
Hoist your shields up, my lads, bring your spears to the fore
We’re the Constellation Army on the bridge at Pennsic War!
Hoist your shields up, my lads, bring your spears to the fore
We’re the Constellation Army on the bridge at Pennsic War!

Bout by bout and blow by blow,
Up the crown list tree we go
First salute thn with honor go
And do your best each round.
Fight by fight and shot by shot,
For your consort you have fought,
Given everything you've got.
What a way to choose the crown.
Tourney day is now a nigh.
Draw the tree, each bout and bye,
List out whom 'gainst whom will vie
For the honor of the day.
First we line up by degree.
Who comes first here, you or me?
This all gives the heralds glee
Before we start the fray.
First round finally has begun,
Some have lost while some have won.
Marshall, see that all is done
In a manner safe and fair.
Slowly we reduce the field,
Some advance while some must yield.
So it is that fate is sealed
For every fighting pair.
Finally we are down to two
Fighters one of which is who
Will serve the kingdom, me, and you
As our new king is revealed.
The people watch and do see all,
How you stand or how you fall.
They'll remember and recall
Your manner on the field.
Bout by bout and blow by blow,
Up the crown list tree we go
First salute then with honor go
And do your best each round.
Fight by fight and shot by shot,
For your consort you have fought,
Given everything you've got.
What a way to choose the crown.
That's how we choose the crown.

Music: The Golden Vanity - Trad
Oh there was an aged king and he had princes three
And he said to his sons "What if you were king not me?
"For one day I'll be gone and one of you the king shall be
"And you'll sit upon the throne, the dragon carven throne
"You'll sit upon the throne, not me."
The first prince then he stood and said "War king I would be
"I'll wield a mighty sword and the bards shall sing of me.
"I'll lead the dragon army forth to victory
"When I sit upon the throne, the dragon carven throne,
"When I sit upon the throne, not ye."
The second prince he stood and said "Winter king I'd be.
"My raiment will be fine and I'll wear jewelery
"My friends and I will all enjoy the revelry
"When I sit upon the throne, the dragon carven throne,
"When I sit upon the throne, not ye."
The third prince then he stood and said "Servant I shall be
"For I shall serve the people and the land as it should be
"The kingdom will be happy 'round about the inner sea
"If I sit upon the throne, the dragon carven throne,
"If I sit upon the throne, for thee."
The king he silenced all and said "My choice is made for me
"For my sons are all true princes, but just one the king shall be
"And he shall serve the people and the land as it should be
"When he sits upon the throne, the dragon carven throne,
"When he sits upon the throne, for me."
"When he sits upon the throne, the dragon carven throne,
"When he sits upon the throne, for me."

At the center of the Known World
Lies a kingdom brave and fair,
Where a dragon guards a vision
Of a dream beyond compare.
Draco invictus, Draco invictus!
Dragon, we raise thy banner free.
Draco invictus, Draco invictus!
Ever our swords will honor thee.
Hardened are the scales of the dragon,
Teeth and claws and barb are fell.
Golden is her heart of mercy,
As her bards delight to tell.
Draco invictus, Draco invictus!
Dragon, we raise thy banner free.
Draco invictus, Draco invictus!
Ever our song will honor thee.
Once the dragon had three children.
Griffin, wolf and falcon, rise!
Their three kingdoms grown to freedom,
Now we honor as allies.
Draco invictus, Draco invictus!
Dragon, we raise thy banner free.
Draco invictus, Draco invictus!
Ever thy friends will honor thee.
We are all part of the Dragon,
And the kingdom needs each one.
Stand together, fight together,
Sing together when we've won!
Draco invictus, Draco invictus!
Dragon, we raise thy banner free.
Draco invictus, Draco invictus!
Ever our hearts will honor thee.

Footnote about the Short Road: From the RivenSTAR - OCTOBER 2005
The Short Road?
For those who might wonder, the "short road" comes from a pithy little speech made by some Midrealm Prince named Moonwulf. During the main field battle (then held on Runestone Hill) at a Pennsic War well over 20 years ago, the Midrealm forces had been mauled and the King was killed.
The East graciously allowed the Midrealm forces (a fraction of their original strength) to regroup.
The prince called to the survivors for an all-out charge down the hill and into the East's center with the words,
"Let's take the short road to glory!"
Leading the charge, the Prince was one of the first to fall, but I am told the last of the Midrealm's fighters died within reach of the Eastern banners.
Live bravely, fight well, and be nice to bards.
Wulf (Duke Master Moonwulf Stakraaderson)

Music: Tune: chi mi na morbheanna (Scottish trad)
Chorus:
Soar now, up high on the Dragon's wing
Cry out, the song the dragon sings
Crimson and white, my heart beating proudly now
Child of the Dragon am I!
(repeat chorus)
Horns sound! The Dragon is called to war.
Join now, we muster our fighting corps.
Fight for our land, with buckler, blade, bolt, or bow
Arm of the Dragon am I!
Knit, sew, we make our fair kingdom bright,
Sing, grow, create all the day and night
Jewels of our land, we craft them with skill and care
Hand of the Dragon am I
(Chorus x1)
Time's now! The Dragon seeks service fair.
I go, and aid as I'm needed there.
Lend me your hand, with more now the work is done
Heart of the Dragon am I!
Hear now! The Dragon's mighty roar,
See how - we answer the call once more.
Proudly we claim, no matter the path we take
"Child of the Dragon am I!"
(Chorus x2)

From the heart of old England the barons do ride
With plumes on their helmets
and swords by their sides
To fight for the Dragon whose fiefdoms they hold
And win glory in tales that are lastingly told
They make one Midrealm.
One Midrealm.
And out of the Languedoc the troubadours come
With their lutes sweetly tuned
and their songs purely sung
And they tell of a love that is courtly and true
When the loved one inspires,
what can we not do?
Un royaume de milieu
One Midrealm
From the south come great Caesar’s
descendants, whose home
Is the grand and eternal old city of Rome
And along with their tactics and disciplined skill
Come poets and painters, our spirits to thrill
Un regno centrale
One Midrealm
And now come the longships
that bear from the North
The people of Odin’s serpent-bound Middle Earth.
All the gold and the amber
they bear ‘cross the seas
Is precious--but worth less than
one soul of these
Eitt miðríki
One Midrealm
From their scattered homes
the dispersed people come
With traditions born in holy Jerusalem
With the blessings of learning
and kindness and peace
Happy the host who brings such to the feast
ha-emtza ha-me'uchad
One Midrealm
From Araby’s deserts the Bedu appear
Those wand’rers who know
not the meaning of fear
On their steeds so intelligent, graceful and fleet
They race the scirocco with tireless feet
al-mamlakat al-wustaa al-mutahida
One Midrealm
From the rising sun’s land come the bold samurai
Who fear to lose honour far more than to die
If the name lives forever, what matter the fall?
The warrior is selfless, the good is for all
Man'naka Ryōiki Toitsu-desu
One Midrealm
From all the wide world together we run
To be one in the Dragon--we’ll not be outdone
In field or in farm, in battle or art--
While the fires of the Dragon
still blaze in each heart
We are one Midrealm
One Midrealm!

In our hills, on our farms,
Where our graceful rivers' arms
Greet our lakes and embrace oak and elm -
Where our cities touch the sky -
Where our dragon banners fly -
Proud and true grows the Rose of Midrealm.
Where the coursing hound is led;
Where the weft and warp are wed;
Where the arm'rer closes rivets on a helm;
Where the lute sings his tune;
Where the oaken box is hewn:
Proud and true grows the Rose of Midrealm.
[Chorus]
Emerald scepter in dew-silvered gown:
Windblown fragrance sings of your renown!
Ever bloom, Midrealm Rose,
For your heritage bestows
The velvet ruby petals of your crown.
When the dragon of our dreams
Weaves a tale from misty themes;
When the hunger for our hearth starts to whelm -
Call us home, call us home,
And no matter where we roam,
We'll return to the Rose of Midrealm

Fly Dragon fly to the corners of the kingdom
Fly Dragon fly blaze a sign for all to see
Fly Dragon fly for the time of war approaches
And the armies of the Midrealm rise to meet the enemy
Go Dragon go boldly sing the song of battle
Go Dragon go loudly blow the warhorn
Go Dragon go proudly we march forth behind you
Of chivalry and glory was, the Middle Kingdom born
Come Dragon come mighty warriors assemble
Come Dragon come to the summons of the king
Come Dragon come to the Pennsic war we travel
May the Dragon's strength defend us as we march beneath your wing
Fire Dragon fire spreading fast across the prairie
Fire Dragon fire we shall drive away our foe
Fire Dragon fire let her deeds be told in story
For the honor of the Dragon now: to war, to war, we go!
Strike Dragon strike for the Tyger is upon us
Strike Dragon strike let cold steel give our reply
Strike Dragon strike feel the battle heat rise in us
Let the ground beneath us tremble as, to victory we fly
(Quietly) (Post Pennsic Verse)
Sleep Dragon sleep for now the war is ended
Sleep Dragon sleep gentle Dragon take thy rest
Sleep Dragon sleep for the borders are defended
(Rising)Til we meet again in battle, that foe we love the best
Fly Dragon fly to the corners of the kingdom
Fly Dragon fly blaze a sign for all to see
Fly Dragon fly for the time of war approaches
And the armies of the Midrealm rise to meet the enemy

Chorus:
Oh, the Midland winds blow fierce,
And the Midland winds blow free,
And the Midland winds blow strong
across the plains.
Rise up and follow me
Rise up as winds blow free
Rise up and carry on across the plains.
The Summer winds blow fierce,
Fierce across the plains.
And if the stars are right,|
You’ll hear tornadic strains.
And if the stars are wrong,
Then nothing will remain
They’ll blow you off the earth and back again.
Chorus:
Oh, the Midland winds blow fierce,
And the Midland winds blow free,
And the Midland winds blow strong
across the plains.
Rise up and follow me
Rise up as winds blow free
Rise up and carry on across the plains.
The Winter winds blow fierce,
Fierce across the plains
And if your luck is good
You’ll suffer not their pains
They’ll blow so cold around you,
Chilling blood and bone and veins
Losing breath and soul and life in freezing flames.
Chorus:
Oh, the Midland winds blow fierce,
And the Midland winds blow free,
And the Midland winds blow strong
across the plains.
Rise up and follow me
Rise up as winds blow free
Rise up and carry on across the plains.
The Midland winds of war
Blow fierce across the plains.
And if you stand beside us
You’ll share in all the gains,
And if you stand against us
You’ll sing the song of pain
For there’s nothing of the wind you can contain.
Final Chorus:
Oh, the Midland winds blow fierce,
And the Midland winds blow free,
And the Midland winds blow strong
across the plains.
Rise up and follow me
Rise up as winds blow free
Rise up and carry on across the plains.
Rise up and carry on across the plains!

Music: 'Nonesuch'
Red Black and White our colors fly
So proud upon our tower
They show to all who fight with us
Our courage and our valor
CHORUS:
Go Forth and Fight for Cynnabar
Beneath the Dragon's Wing
Go Forth and Fight for Cynnabar
For Barron and For King
Our mighty giant elephant
strikes terror in our foes
Impaling knaves upon his tusks
Their meat shall feed the crows
[CHORUS]
Our sweet saint Cynnabarius
Does bless our shining steel
His relics we will bear on high
To force our foes to kneel
[CHORUS]
Our fortress shall protect the land
No rogue nor cur admit
Our Barony is great and true
It never will submit
[CHORUS]
The Dragon's blood runs through our veins
As hot as any fire
The tide of blood left in our wake
Is rising ever higher

Tune: "Sound the Pibroch" Traditional Scottish
~Song Note: Change HRM's Name as Needed~
Rise, oh Midrealm, heed the call,
You gallant sons and daughters all,
Now raise the standard proud and tall,
The Dragon of the Midrealm!
[CHORUS]
Rise, rise, Midrealm!
Rise, rise, Midrealm!
Rise, rise, Midrealm rise!
Rise and follow Louis!
South Oaken is a fabled land
Brave deeds are done by gallant hands
Now gather all you warrior bands!
For the Dragon of the Midrealm!
[CHORUS]
North Oaken, as the songs do tell
Is where the mighty heroes dwell.
Their numbers will our army swell!
The Dragon of the Midrealm!
[CHORUS]
The fighters of fair Pentamere
Our enemies do rightly fear.
Now let them march and raise the cheer
For the Dragon of the Midrealm!
[CHORUS]
Proud Constellation shall not fail,
And all who fight against them quail
Like stars their shining coats of mail
For the Dragon of the Midrealm!
[CHORUS]
In Midlands valiant deeds are done
On prairie fields beneath the sun.
From battle they shall never run!
The Dragon of the Midrealm!
[CHORUS]
And now the time is near at hand
To honor oaths and proudly stand!
To fight for King and Queen and Land,
For the Dragon of the Midrealm!
Rise, rise, Midrealm!
Rise, rise, Midrealm!
Rise, rise, Midrealm rise!
Rise and follow Louis!
Rise, rise, Midrealm!
Rise, rise, Midrealm!
Rise, rise, Midrealm rise!
And cry, "Draco Invictus!"
"Draco Invictus!"

Oh, ye dwellers of the Midrealm, hear my puny voice
The symbol of our kingdom offers you a potent choice
Stand aloof and watch afar playing with your toys
Or help to blow the trumpet of the dragon’s mighty voice
[CHORUS]
For the dragon guards our kingdom
His power our security
Our fighters form his talons
Our customs keep his soul
The chivalry his energy
The arts his beauty hold
Let the service of his realm
Be my freely chosen goal
Oh, ye men of weapons knowledge, of you there is a need
The enemy at sunrise on the dragon realm would feed
Stand aloof and watch afar and fear the Eastern greed
Or help to show the tiger that the dragon he must heed
[CHORUS]
Oh, ye dancers and ye singers, ye scribers this way peer
You bring beauty to the world, you bring joy and cheer
Stand aloof and watch afar and cry at what you hear
Or help to spread the splendor of the dragon far and near
[FINAL CHORUS]
For the dragon guards our kingdom
His power our security
Our fighters form his talons
Our customs keep his soul
The chivalry his energy
The arts his beauty hold
Let the service of his realm
Be my freely chosen goal
Let the service of his realm
Be my freely chosen goal!

Can't you hear the Dragon roaring.
For valiant fighters bathed in glory
Deeds and courage live in stories
When Midrealm goes to war.
Feel the ground neath marchers shaking
Ranks of foe men will be breaking
Hide beneath their shields a quaking
Midrealm's gone to war
[CHORUS]
The Dragon Crown before us,
Lift your banners high.
On we march to victory.
For Midrealm we will raise our battle cry!
Fight to win but fight with honor
Arrayed in all our armoured splendor
Rally to the Dragon Banner
Midrealm's gone to war
See the rows of helmets gleaming
Hear the terrified foe screaming
Lost beyond hope of redeeming
Midrealm's gone to war
Drive our vanquished foe before us.
Till for mercy they implore us
Our ranks do join in joyful chorus
Midrealm's gone to war!
[CHORUS]
The Dragon Crown before us,
Lift your banners high.
On we march to victory.
For Midrealm we will raise our battle cry!
Fight to win but fight with honor
Arrayed in all our armoured splendor
Rally to the Dragon Banner
Midrealm's gone to war!
