Muwashshah, a poetic song form from al-Andalus
Taught by: Ms. Amelie d'Anjou
While we don't have any extant period music from non-Christian Iberian cultures, we do know some things, and we have lots of poems.
Amelie will talk about one of the most popular poetic forms from al-Andalus, and give some examples.

Text to Telling ~ Songwriting Class
Taught by: Master Brendan O'Corraidhe
Most stories that are written down are written to be read, not read aloud. Even short tales can run fifteen minutes – much longer than the typical 5-7 minute slot of most venues for bardic performance. In this class, I’ll explain a method that works to turn source material into a dynamic, compelling performance.

Class session 2 ~ 2:30 to 3:30:
Got Harps? - A Harper’s Roundtable
Taught by: Juliane Bechaumpe
Do you want to get started on the road to becoming a Harper? Do you already play and any to network with like-minded musicians? Then this Roundtable is for you. It’s a freewheeling discussion on Harps, Harpmakers, Harp music resources and the challenges presented by performing outdoors. War stories on the latter welcome!
-----
When Harry Met Billy: The Norman Conquest and English Poetry
Taught by: Llywelyn Glyndyverdwy
We'll trace the complete transformation that took place in English poetry when the Norman French displaced the Anglo-Saxons as rulers of England.
