Vinyl

What's special about listening to analog versus CD?

"It's the same thing you feel when you do it. What's fun about a CD or an iPod? We all have them. We know how genius an iPod is for travel and whatever, but there's no soul in it. You can put it on shuffle and take speed for four days and never touch it again. What's fun about that? When you put on a record, you really have to dedicate yourself to it. Because after six songs you have to turn it over. You have to actually listen to the music. It's about having patience and a true love affair with the music". - The Absolute Sound, October 2008, Issue 185
