Comparison of adjectives

Adjectives have inflections. That is, they change in spelling according to how they are used in a sentence.

Adjectives have three forms: positive, comparative, and superlative.

Short adjectives

Ø One-syllable adjectives like clean, smart, tall, short

Ø Two- syllable adjectives ending in –y, - er, -ow like happy, clever or narrow
