I am a Professor at the University of Fortaleza - UNIFOR, Fortaleza-CE, Brazil, in the Center of Technological Sciences (CCT), where I am a faculty member for the BSc in Computer Science and the MSc and PhD programs in Applied Informatics (PPGIA). Before joining PPGIA-UNIFOR, I was a Visiting Lecturer during two years at the Department of Computing - UFC, Fortaleza-CE, Brazil.  I was the General Chair and Program Co-chair for the 2002 and 2005 Brazilian Conference on Graphics, Patterns and Images (SIBGRAPI), respectively, and also the Program Chair (Computing Track) for the 2015 Simpósio Brasileiro de Jogos e Entretenimento Digital (SBGames'15). In 2016, I acted as the Guest Editor for the journals Elsevier Entertainment Computing (ECJ) and SBC Journal on Interactive Systems (JIS), and as a Program Committee member for the 5th International Conference on Serious Games and Applications for Health (SeGAH'17) and Co-Chair for the 2017 Workshop on Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Wearable Technologies (a SeGAH'17 Special Track). Currently, I'm working as a Visiting Research Scholar at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), USA. I'm Co-chair for the Workshop of Theses and Dissertations (a SVR'17 Special Track) and Program Committee member for the Computing Track of SBGames 2017. I am also a member of the editorial review board of the International Journal of Handheld Computing Research (IJHCR) and Associate Editor of the ACM Computers in Entertainment (CIE) magazine
