I have taught six sections of Calculus I over three semesters at UW-Eau Claire, as well as one section of Calculus II. I teach these courses in a "partially flipped classroom" style, in which students read the textbook or watch my short video lectures and answer questions before class, so they can come to class prepared to solve problems! In class, I circulate to answer students' questions and observe their progress, and explain solutions or give 5-minute mini-lectures as needed.

I am currently conducting a Scholarship of Teaching and Learning project to compare methods for teaching word problems in Calculus I; the consent form, containing more information on this project, is also available below.
