Participants

Pre- Run Preparation

  • All participants should familiarise themselves with the AH3 Covid Risk Register for runs.

  • Each participant should register with Hash Cash.

  • Each participant will have access to the run Risk Assessment.

  • Any participant found to be repeatedly not adhering to the guidance will be prevented from registering for any future runs.

  • Don’t forget: Hand sanitizer, Face covering, Water bottle.

Travelling to the Run

  • Follow Scot Gov guidelines: Wear face coverings, sit diametrically opposite each other in the car, keep car windows open

  • Park considerately to allow social distancing movements between vehicles

  • When exiting cars make sure social distancing is maintained

Start of the run

  • Runners must report to Hash Cash on arrival.

  • Wear a face covering or socially distance (ONE metre) whilst confirming name to Hash Cash.

  • New Runners will be identified and allocated a (socially distanced) buddy to ensure that they are aware of how the hash operates.

  • A pre-run circle will be held, if deemed safe to do so by the Resident Covid Officer and RA.

  • It is essential that ONE metre distancing is observed between hashers, unless from own household, during the circle.

During the run

  • Members of the Public have right of way at all times, stand to one side to allow passage.

  • Hashers should refrain from calling while others are in close proximity. When calling "ON ON" Hashers should face away from anyone close by and place hand partially over mouth avoiding expelling droplets.

  • The Hare and/or Covid Officer to check that the pack is not "bunching up" during the run at pinch points such as gates, crossing streams/fences etc.

  • If there is a second Hare, they should assist by acting as a Trail sweeper to expedite the slower runners/walkers on the trail.

  • All dogs should be kept under control at all times particularly when near livestock

  • No "Shiggy" throwing

  • Checks can be marked by runners.

Injury On Trail

  • All runners should carry a mobile phone, where possible.

  • Covid Officer and/or hare to be contacted immediately via Mobile phone.

  • Runners not advised to assist injured party unless it's a seriouse injury.

  • Covid officer and/or the hare will assess the injury and mobilise emergency services as required.

Post run

  • Maintain ONE metre social distancing at all times, unless within own household.

  • No beer or food will be provided by AH3 after the run completion.

  • Hashers are requested to bring their own food, beverages, drinking vessels etc.

  • Do not share food or beverages with other hashers.

  • A circle will be held, if deemed safe to do so by the Resident Covid Officer and RA.

  • It is essential that ONE metre distancing is observed between hashers, unless from own household, during the circle.

  • Down downs and/or awards will be managed in line with the Trail Risk Assessment
