St Chad's Church ran a hustings in the lead up to last year's general election, in which they asked the candidates about their position on climate change as well as other issues. Also, REAP ran an Eco hustings at St Andrews which Rev. David Pickering chaired.

Film Showings:

St George's and South Parade Baptist Church ran showings of the film the "The Age of Stupid", which is a hard-hitting, but also human and engaging, look at the effect of our current lifestyles on the planet now and in the future. South Parade showed "The Power of Community", which is a very encouraging film, showing how it is possible to change rapidly to a lower-carbon economy. It follows the journey of Cuba following the US embargoes on imports into the country in the 1990s, which cut the availability of oil in the country by half.
