It clearly identifies the relationship that is going to be investigated.
The variables of interest are specified.
It identifies the dataset from which the variables come.
It identifies what the relationship is going to predict and for which population this is going to apply.
Normally a statement implies one sentence but it is easier to construct if it is split it into 2 parts.
