Checked out of Wasserauen a day early (rain/snow on Santis summit, which was our goal. Called ahead to Vna (Lower Engadin) and they had room for us.
Nice drive by Lichtenstein -> Klosters -> Davos -> over the Fluelpass -> Scuol.
Vna is about 12km up a tiny valley out of Scuol. But a few buildings, and one gasthaus (Arina). Mary (the owner) speaks good English, which is rare for this region.
Drove back to Scuol and walked around this hilly, picturesque community. Took many pictures of their typical architecture (sgraffito). See pictures.
Good wifi connection. Was able to Skype Betty and show her the area.
Technology is wonderful. Only takes a few minutes to transfer images from iPhone to tiny Netbook (Windows XP). Picasa instantly recognizes the images -> then quickly dump the poor ones; auto-correct the contrast -> and push to the web (Picasa Web Albums).
