Make sure to enter ALL high schools you attended, if you attended more than one.
If your school does not auto-populate, you are given the option to manually enter the name of your school as it appears on the transcript. When students manually input the school what will happen is that the course code will not auto-populate and you will have to manually add the course details and then manually match it with any of the A-G requirements.
Select: I have or will graduate with my high school diploma
Enter the date: June 3, 2021
Select No unless you have attended another high school and it was outside of the US
**This section will only appear if you indicated earlier that you have completed one or more courses at a college/university.
Enter the names of the College(s) you attended.
If applicable, enter ALL college courses you've ever taken, regardless if they are relevant and even if you transferred them already.
This includes courses you took as Dual Enrollment, courses taken during high school for college credit, or during summer school
What should you report?
All high school courses used to satisfy A-G requirements
Do NOT include non-college prep courses (e.g., PE, Health, Office/Teacher Aide, Leadership)
Middle school coursework exception: Any math (Algebra or higher) and/or languages other than English courses taken in middle school that continues course progression into 9th grade can be entered to receive consideration.
Do not enter the repeated course twice. If you repeated a course, enter the highest grade(s) earned for the course. If the repeated course is planned or in progress, enter the original grade earned, as well as the planned or in progress course as a new grade has not yet been earned.
Take your time and complete this section carefully.
9th-11th Grade
Course Title: Start typing in your class and you will see a list of classes pop up, select your course from the list.
Course Type: This will be automatically selected.
Input Fall Grade and Spring Grade as seen on transcript.
If your class is only for ONE semester: Under the semester grade, you will select "No Grade" for the semester you did not take the class. You will input your grade under the semester grade you did take the class.
C&C Seminar is actually named "ROP College and Career Seminar"
12th Grade
Do NOT submit any grades for your senior year. You will only select "In Progress", "Planned" or "No Grade" for No class. Even though grades have come out for our first two periods of senior year, your transcript is not updated until the fall semester is completely finished (January) so you do not select any grades for any 12th grade class.
The class "American Government or AP Government and Politics United States" is ONLY for ONE semester, pick one of these scenarios:
If you are taking the class in the Fall semester = Select "In Progress" for Fall and select "No Grade" for Spring
If you are taking the class in the Spring semester = Select "No Grade" for Fall and select "Planned" for Spring
The class "Economics or AP Macroeconomics" is ONLY for ONE semester, pick one of these scenarios:
If you are taking the class in the Fall semester = Select "In Progress" for Fall and select "No Grade" for Spring
If you are taking the class in the Spring semester = Select "No Grade" for Fall and select "Planned" for Spring
Summer School (if applicable)
Grade levels for summer courses should be reported as the grade you were going into after that summer.
For example, if you took a summer class between 9th and 10th grade, the summer grade level should be set to 10th grade.
Each summer you have attended should be entered individually by grade level.
**This section will only appear if you indicated earlier that you have completed one or more courses at a college/university.
When adding a course, Course Code MUST match official transcript.
Course Title will fill in automatically once your select Course Code.
If your course does not appear on the drop-down list automatically, manually enter the course subject and number exactly at it is listed on your transcript.
Refer to your official transcript for # of credits/units earned for the course. You will enter a full number, including a decimal value.
Enter Grade; CAS Grade will be automatically generated.
If the course is CSU Transferable, check the Transferable box.
Once you are done, click on "Save Your Transcript". If you go back after to make changes, make sure to click on Save Your Transcript again.
This shows how the high school and college courses you just entered match the A-G requirements
Years = how many years you reported for the subject
In parenthesis is the minimum years required for the subject
You should have the same # or more years for each A-G requirement than is listed in parenthesis next to the subject.
If you are missing years for A-G, click the Update A-G and ensure you’ve entered everything correctly.
For Fall 2021 freshman admissions, standardized tests will NOT be used to determine admissions eligibility.
These scores may still be used to help place you in math and English courses by campuses.
You can enter your ACT, SAT, AP, IB, CLEP, TOEFL exams either have taken or plan on taking.
If you have not taken or are not schedule to take any standardized tests you can opt out.
Be sure to accurately report your ACT ID (for the ACT exam) or your College Board ID (for the SAT exam). This is the easiest and best way to ensure your scores will be matched to your application and received by the CSU campus(es) you apply to.

If you are a first-time freshman, upper-division transfer student or an Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) student applying to the CSU and you are a California resident for tuition purposes, CSU-eligible and have not been admitted to any CSU to which you applied, there is the chance that the campus(es) you applied to don’t have the capacity to admit more students.
If this happens, you will be redirected to an alternate CSU campus. This is called redirection. You would receive the redirection details via email from Cal State Apply. For more information, please visit https://www2.calstate.edu/apply/redirection.
