How do I apply for a leave?
a) Apply through the HR System (GreatDay).
b) Get approval from the Supervisor.
c) Submit any supporting documents (if required) to HR before the salary cut-off, which is the 25th of every month.
How many days before should I submit my planned leave date?
Except Medical Leave or Emergency Leave:
a) For total leave of less than 3 days; you must apply 3 working days before.
b) For total leave of more than 4 days; you must apply 7 days before.
Does the Supervisor have the right to approve or reject my leave request?
Yes, the Supervisor has the authority to approve or reject your leave request based on operational requirements and team considerations.
What is AL?
AL is granted to confirmed staff as paid leave to rest, recharge, and address personnel matters.
What is the condition to apply for AL?
Applicable to confirmed staff only. Probation staff can apply for unpaid leave.
What is my AL entitlement?
Based on years of service (YOS) and accumulated by month :
a) Less than 2 years (< 24 months) = 08 days
b) 2 years but less than 5 years (25 months - 60 months) = 12 days
c) 5 years and above (> 61 months) = 16 days
How do I calculate my AL entitlement for the latest month?
The formula is [Months of service / 12 months x AL entitlement].
For eg. In October 2024, if I started working on 26 May 2024, I have accumulated 3 days of AL [5 months / 12 months x 8 days].
How do I apply for AL?
a) Notify your Supervisor.
b) Apply through the HR System (GreatDay).
c) Pass the relevant supporting documents (if any) to HR before the salary cut-off which is the 25th of every month.
Does unused AL carry forward to the next year?
Yes. AL can be carried forward to the next year with condition.
What is carry forward AL?
Carry forward AL is the balance AL that is allowed to be used on the next year without being forfeited.

Yes. AL can be carried forward to the next year with condition.
How much leave can I carry forward to the next year? Is there any validity date?
You will be able to carry forward a maximum of 5 days only, valid until the 25th of June of the next year.
However, the remaining number of day(s) will be forfeited if not fully utilized.
How do I apply for AL?

b) Apply through the HR System (GreatDay).
c) Pass the relevant supporting documents (if any) to HR before the salary cut-off which is the 25th of every month.
If I have more than 5 days AL balance of the current year, will it be forfeited after carrying forward 5 days?
No, after carrying forward 5 days to the next year, the remaining balance of days will be converted to money and paid back to your salary in December of the current year.
What is the formula of AL encashment?
The formula is [Number of days / 26 x Basic salary]. It will be reflected in the payslip in December of the current year.
What is NPL?
NPL is granted to staff when where staff takes a day off from their job without salary.
What are the conditions to apply for NPL?
a) Probation staff.
b) Not earned the annual leave.
c) Have finished all the earned leave.
How do I apply for NL?
a) Notify your Supervisor.
b) Apply through the HR System (GreatDay).
c) Pass the relevant supporting documents (if any) to HR before the salary cut-off which is the 25th of every month.
How do I calculate the NPL?
The formula is [Number of days / Total days of the month x Basic salary].
Note : Total days of the month are counted from the 26th to the 25th.
For eg, in April, the payroll cycle from 26 March to 25 April (total 31 days), if you take 1 NPL, the calculation would be [1 day / 31 days x salary].
What is HDL?
HDL is granted to staff when where staff take a half day off from their job.
What are the conditions to apply for HDL?
You must work at least 4 hours a day (excluding breaks).
Example: 9.00 am - 1.00 pm or 1.00 pm - 5.00 pm
Do I need to take attendance (clock in / clock out) if I apply for HDL?
Yes. You need to take attendance.
How do I apply for HDL?
a) Notify your Supervisor.
b) Apply through the HR System (GreatDay).
c) Pass the relevant supporting documents (if any) to HR before the salary cut-off which is the 25th of every month.
What is EL?
EL is granted to staff when facing an emergency situation that is unavoidable and causes them to be unable to attend work.
What are the examples considered as emergencies?
a) Sudden illness, injury, or death.
b) Breakdown of vehicles.
c) Involved in accidents (car accidents, fire, burglary, etc).
d) Natural disaster (flood, etc).
How do I apply for EL?
a) Notify your Supervisor via call / Whatsapp / SMS / Email, etc within 2 hours, allowing you or any other relevant party to provide a brief explanation to ensure smooth coordination and prevent any unnecessary concerns from the Supervisor.
b) Apply through the HR System (GreatDay) according to your leave type, such as Annual Leave, Unpaid Leave, Medical Leave, etc.
c) Pass the relevant supporting documents (if any) to HR before the salary cut-off which is the 25th of every month.
What is ML?
ML is a paid leave granted to staff when they fall sick or injured, causing them to be unable to attend work.
What are the conditions to apply for ML?
ML will only be granted to any staff upon recommendation by:-
a) A registered medical practitioner or dental surgeon.
b) Government clinic / hospital.
c) Supported with a valid medical certificate (MC).
What is my ML entitlement?
Based on years of service (YOS):
a) Less than 2 years (< 24 months) = 14 days
b) 2 years but less than 5 years (25 months - 60 months) = 18 days
c) 5 years and above (> 61 months) = 22 days
How do I apply for ML?
a) Notify your Supervisor via call / Whatsapp / SMS / Email, etc within 2 hours.
b) Apply through the HR System (GreatDay).
c) Pass the original documents (Medical slip) to HR before the salary cut-off which is the 25th of every month.
What if I am unable to obtain an ML?
You are unable to apply for ML without a valid MC. However, you can apply for Annual Leave or Unpaid leave to rest at home.
Please note that creating a fake MC will result in disciplinary action.
Does unused ML carry forward to the next year?
No. ML will be refreshed every January of the year.

HL is a paid leave granted to staff when a hospital doctor considers that staff needs hospital care.
What are the conditions to apply for HL?
HL will only be granted to any staff upon recommendation by:-
a) A registered medical practitioner.
b) Government clinic / hospital.
c) Supported with a valid hospitalization certificate.
What is my HL entitlement?
60 consecutive days including Public holidays and weekends.
How do I apply for HL?
a) Notify your Supervisor / HR via call / Whatsapp / SMS / Email, etc within 2 hours.
b) Apply through the HR System (GreatDay).
c) Pass the original documents (hospitalization certificate / letter) to HR before the salary cut-off which is the 25th of every month.

MarL is a paid leave granted to a confirmed staff who is getting married so they can have ample time to plan for their wedding or Registration of Marriage (ROM).
What are the conditions to apply for MarL?
a) Applicable to confirmed staff only. Probation staff can apply for unpaid leave.
b) First legal marriage only.
What is my MarL entitlement?
02 consecutive days.
How do I apply for MarL?
a) Notify your Supervisor 1 week prior to the planned MarL.
b) Apply through the HR System (GreatDay).
c) Pass the supporting documents (Wedding card / Marriage certificate) to HR before the salary cut-off which is the 25th of every month.
What leave should I apply for if I wish to extend my leave?

What is MatL?
MatL is granted to female staff who are pregnant.
What are the conditions to apply for MatL?
a) You must have been employed within the 4 months leading up to confinement.
b) You must have been employed for a total of 90 days in the nine months prior to confinement.
c) MatL only applies to the first five children.
d) If experiencing a miscarriage after 22 weeks of pregnancy.
What is my MatL entitlement?
98 consecutive days including Public holidays and weekends.
How do I apply for MatL?
a) Notify your Supervisor / HR and submit the Maternity Registration Form to the company 4 months before the confinement.
b) Apply through the HR System (GreatDay).

What is PL?
PL is a paid leave granted to male married staff to bond with and take care of their wife and newly-born child.
What are the conditions to apply for PL?
a) You are married with a legal marriage certificate.
b) You must have been employed for a total of 12 months.
c) Only applies to the first five children, regardless of the number of wives.
d) If your wife experiences a miscarriage after 22 weeks of pregnancy.
What is my PL entitlement?
07 consecutive days including public holidays and weekends.
How do I apply for PL?
a) Notify your Supervisor / HR and submit the Paternity Application form to the company 30 days before the confinement.
b) Apply through the HR System (GreatDay).
c) Pass the relevant supporting documents (Birth certificate / Doctor's letter) to HR before the salary cut-off which is the 25th of every month.
What leave should I apply if I wish to extend my leave?
You can apply for Annual Leave or Unpaid leave with Supervisor's approval.
What is CL?
CL is a paid leave granted to confirmed staff when a direct family member passes away.
What are the conditions to apply for CL?
a) Applicable to confirmed staff only. Probation staff can apply for unpaid leave.
b) Direct family only including spouse, parents, parents-in-law, grandparents, child, brother or sister.
What is my CL entitlement?
02 consecutive days for each incident.
How do I apply for CL?

What is NDL?
NDL is a paid leave granted to confirmed staff when the earth's natural phenomena cause you unable to attend to work.
What are the conditions to apply for NDL?
a) Applicable to confirmed staff only. Probation staff can apply for unpaid leave.
b) Fires.
c) Floods.
d) Disaster that affects your personal property and belongings.
What is my NDL entitlement?
01 consecutive day for each incident.
How do I apply for NDL?
a) Notify your Supervisor / HR via call / Whatsapp / SMS / Email, etc within 2 hours.
b) Apply through the HR System (GreatDay).
c) Pass the relevant supporting documents (eg. photos / news) to HR before the salary cut-off which is the 25th of every month.
