Thank you Note

Monday- This week you will be writing a story about you. Think of a day that you want to tell about. It could be something special that happened to you or what you did recently.

Remember to think:

  • Character: You, who else was with you
  • What: tell about you did; what was special about that day
  • Where: tell about the place that you were at; describe it
  • -was it outside/inside
  • -a park, a pool, your house a friend's house
  • Why you wrote about this
  • How it made you feel
  • Draw your pictures for the story.
  • Tuesday- begin your story
  • You may start with: One day I ______________________________________________________.
  • or
  • Let me tell you about the day I ________________________________________
  • Add details: First I
  • Next
  • Then
  • Finally I ______________________ or The last thing _______________________________.
  • Wednesday: Tell about how you felt and why
  • I felt __________________ on that day.
  • or
  • It made me feel _______________________________.
  • Thursday: Check for - Capital letter in first word of sentence
  • - Finger spacing
  • - Did I end my sentences with: . ? !

You can use math mountains - remember total on top; partners at bottom

Write the equation when solving.

Practice counting by 10's and adding 10 to a number- for example:

  • 64 + 10 = 74 Find 64 on number chart; move your finger down 1 row
  • 64 - 30 = 34 Find 64 on number chart; move for finger up 3 rows

use the number chart for this.
