Elementary Intervention Plan
This elementary intervention plan provides a framework for developing responsive instruction, based on student needs. This is used at all three elementary schools in Shenandoah County for students identified for intervention.
Middle and High School Sample Intervention Plan
This sample intervention plan provides a framework for developing responsive instruction, based on student needs. It also includes grades 6-8 and 9-12 sample interventions.

Class Intervention Plans Spreadsheet
This sample class intervention plan spreadsheet provides a framework for developing responsive instruction, based on student needs. This template allows the teacher to have all students on one spreadsheet in separate tabs.
K-1 High Yield Independent Stations
Teachers select activities based on student data for use during times when the teacher cannot guide instruction.
Note: These activities are not interventions on their own. Teacher-led instruction should be provided and complemented by support activities.

What Works Clearinghouse (K-12 Programs)
The What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) reviews the existing research on different programs, products, practices, and policies in education. Our goal is to provide educators with the information they need to make evidence-based decisions. We focus on the results from high-quality research to answer the question, “What works in education?”
PALS Resource Hub (K-3 Phonological Awareness and Phonics)
The University of Virginia has updated their PALS resources to include research-based literacy practices for instruction and intervention. After logging in, click "PALS Resource Hub."
Florida Center for Reading Research (K-12 Activities)
Part of the Florida Center for Reading Research’s mission is to disseminate information about research-based practices related to literacy instruction and assessment for children in pre-school through 12th grade. To this end, FCRR has provided a selection of resources and materials of particular interest to education practitioners. Check out the section titled "Student Center Activities" for intervention activities.
Tools 4 Reading (Phonics Lessons)
West Virginia has compiled phonics lessons and activities to supplement core instruction. It partners with Tools 4 Reading to help all students grow in their literacy.
Meadows Center (Parent Development Videos)
In the "Helping Your Kid With..." section, The Meadows Center provides parents tips for how to support their students in literacy. These videos can be viewed by teachers as they plan appropriate interventions based on student needs.
Cool Tools (K-12 Informal Reading Assessments)
Cool Tools is recommended by George Mason University as an assessment to determine student needs during intervention.
Intervention Central: Reading Interventions (Grades 3-12 Interventions)
Author of RTI Toolkit, Jim Wright provides interventions in vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension.
